We were disappointed with our stay. We were sent an email on how to gain access to the building and our room, which was very concise and helpful, so we were able to gain access very easily. The room and bathroom were just a bit grubby and not as clean as we would have expected. The cupboard doors under the hob and draining board looked clean until the sun shone on them and then the dirty run marks really showed up. The washing up sponge which had been provided, had clearly been used for some time and not a new one as we would have expected and they are incredibly cheap to buy. There were dirty marks on the tiles in the bathroom, and the corner of the bath was not only dirty, but had long dark hairs on it. The web site says that the rooms have a kitchenette, which they do. There was a kettle, microwave, sink and a two burner hob, but there were no pots or pans to use on the hob. This seemed very strange. There was cutlery provided but there was two knives and two spoons but only one fork, making it very difficult to eat in the room. The pillows on the bed must be old as they were so flat that the only way we could sleep was by putting our arm underneath it, as there were no additional pillows in the room, which is not ideal. The web site mentions a NCP car park in High Street is nearby, but this car park looks like it has been permanently closed down, so we had to drive round Brighton to find another car park, which we did at £32.95 for 4 to24 hrs stay (all the car parks were about this price). People should know this in advance so they can budget for it. Just a final note to be aware of, in the double rooms with a partial sea view, the table and chairs are up against the bay window, which is lovely, but be aware that if you have the bay window open, when sitting at the table the seagulls come and sit on the windowsill waiting to grab some food. This happened several time to us.
