The Swallows Rest in Brigstock turned out to the perfect choice for an overnight stay and trip down memory lane as we travelled north. Sam is warm and welcoming and a fabulous host. She made us feel very much at home in this beautiful place. It was a joy to wake up to the gorgeous view of the garden and countryside behind the house. And breakfast was delicious. An added bonus at the Swallows Rest is the EV charger. This is a godsend at the end of a journey for electric car users. Thanks for a great stay Sam

It’s was a great experience and we enjoyed staying there. The B&B was wonderful and very welcoming. Hopefully we will go again next time. Thanks for the great hospitality and nice breakfast! We love Oundle and the surrounding countryside!

Quite simply this is as good a b&b as you are ever likely to find. We thoroughly recommend The Swallows Rest - it is a real pleasure. We had a really warm welcome, the room was obviously created with a lot of care and with an excellent bath/shower room. The good company at breakfast was an added bonus

Sam greeted us with a smile and the rest of the stay went just as well. Nothing was too much trouble and our accommodation in 'Willow' was great. Breakfast was first class. Easy to find and as promised an EV Charger was available for my personal use. So, all in all, we would highly recommend this B&B.

We enjoyed a beautiful few days away with our 4 month old daughter at the Swallows Rest. We had never visited the area before and Sam was brilliantly helpful, offering suggestions of places to visit and things to do, which we really appreciated. We stayed in the beautiful Willow Room, and Sam also provided a travel cot for our baby. The room was comfortable and spacious, with everything we could need. Breakfast was always delicious, with plenty of choices for continental and full English options. We particularly enjoyed the yoghurt with berries and chia seeds, the freshly baked pastries, and being able to chat with the other guests over breakfast. Overall, it was a perfect first holiday with our daughter - thank you Sam!

Our room was super cute, cozy, quiet, and had a lovely view of the garden patio and sheep field. The host was incredibly friendly and wonderful to talk to. Her and her family made us feel right at home. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the both of us loved the freshly baked cookies that were left for us!♡ My boyfriend and I are definitely going to stay here again on our next visit!♡♡♡

What an amazing place, Sam has been the perfect host from start to finish. Me and the wife came for my birthday and it was perfect. The room was big with a great bed which we had the best nights sleep in a long time and the bathroom with the traditional roll top bath was ideal for relaxing. Sam helped us choose a nice meal out and the breakfast she cooked was to die for. We will definitely come here again if we are in the area and would recommend to everyone we know. Thanks again Sam!

Swallows Rest is up there as one of the best B&B's and thoroughly deserves the title. The rooms are spotlessly clean and roomy, the bed comfortable, bathroom great and the breakfast is so good. All set in a beautiful English village with a shop and great places to dine out.

Comfort is the central theme in the room; very clean, the best bed, wonderful view of the garden and fields beyond. Breakfast options are extensive, coffee making facilities in the room were fresh. The hosts have thought of everything making it a relaxing escape even if for one night. Highly recommend.
