Orea Congress Hotel Brno recensioner

Decent hotel currently undergoing some renovation. Clean, functional and located a half an hour walk or quick bolt into the town. Rooms are on the smaller side, however the breakfast and customer service more than makes up for it. Good value for money !

What a disaster! Matej reception desk guy was more busy trying to teach me a lesson then provide decent customer service. I had a reservation for two nights, i did not indicate that i wanted a large queen size bed, but i did request an executive room. One assumes that an executive room would have a big bed and not two small children size beds. When i arrived i was told that my executive room would in fact have two children size beds instead of of a queen size bed, by matej. I complained that i needed a queen size bed Matej then told me that i needed to tell them that in the reservation but that this time he would put me in a family room which had 2 queen size beds. So far so good. When i got to the room i found that there was no desk for me to work at. So I called to see if THE NEXT DAY I could move to an executive room with a desk and a queen size bed… thats all. Matej answered, and the following happened: 1. He kept repeating to me that i needed to say what i wanted in the reservation. 2. I told him that he had already said this and all i wanted was a room the next day that had a desk and a queen size bed. 3. He told me that i already had two queen size beds and repeated again ‘you needed to say what i wanted in the reservation’ 4. I asked him to please stop repeating himself that i understood this and i just wanted him to solve my issue in the next night. 5. He repeated himself again and again: ‘you needed to say what i wanted in the reservation’ 6. Again i asked him to stop teaching me and he said: 7. I need to teach you…this is a congress hotel and this is how we work so perhaps i suggest you stay in another hotel next time…. 8. Seriously, he said the point above…he just could not be wrong. He the kept repeating over and over ‘ you needed to say what i wanted in the reservation’. 9. I asked him to stop teaching me and just solve the next night and he hung up on me…yes he did.10 i called him back and he told me that he hung up because he did not like how i spoke to him and the proceeded to…you hot it…say: ‘ you needed to say what i wanted in the reservation’. In total he said this 14 times…yes i counted. 10. I asked him if i could speak to a manager and he refused saying that the manager was sleepin and that he would not wake him up… i said that i did not care and that i wanted to speak to a manager… he said ‘if you dont care about his sleep then i do’…really…. 11. I asked him for his name and he told me it was Matej and i hung up on him. So the orea is more busy teaching their customer why they are wrong than trying to solve their issues. I get that i needed to be more specific…i got it the 1st time matej said it… though still think executive rooms should have queen size beds and not two kids bunk beds…and yes putting two bunk beds together does not make on queen size bed…its just two bunk beds for kids put together. Nice hotel ,bedroom big ,tea and coffee available, toiletries, hairdryer if you need a iron ask at reception. Staff very friendly speaking English, bar staff very efficient we were soon served ,chance to practice my Czech. Plenty of choice for breakfast cereals, hot food, fresh fruit, and paper bags so that you could help yourself to any food to eat later in the day

The hotel is a little out of town, but there are plenty of transport options to get to the centre. The building itself is dated, although it's evidently undergone a major interior renovation. The rooms are small, but very clean and well-equipped - with good views of the surrounding countryside. The bathroom has one of those shower curtains with a telescopic pole over the bath. Unfortunately it fell down during my shower. Breakfast is excellent with a wide range of options.

spacious room, we were accommodated on the 9th floor. If you don't move the beds, it's clean. Clean bathroom. Breakfast not very varied, but you have something to eat. For 2 nights, it was perfect. Apart from picking up the trash and changing towels (even if I didn't leave them in a nail), they didn't use a broom/vacuum cleaner, as it was necessary that I moved the beds closer and the mess came out from under the bed (not a lot)

We stayed for 5 nights on a non business trip and can say our stay was excellent. Staff were all helpful and friendly. The food was superb from the restaurant as was the bar. The rooms were excellent too and very clean. Would definitely recommend staying in this hotel.

**Received a warm welcome at my late evening walk in arrival from the only receptionist on duty. We were able to speak with each other in English and be understood. It was the second summer of the Pandemic. **Hotel was easy to find, in a safe, pleasant neighborhood, and near beautiful very old buildings with stunning architecture. The city of Brno is a gem for architectural attractiveness. **Receptionist quoted me a surprisingly low and very attractive room rate, included breakfast, and upgraded my room category without being asked. **I found myself on a high floor with a quiet interior and exterior in a large bedroom with a large bathroom. Both immaculate. **Bedroom and hallway floors were carpeted. Room phone was not connected. **After asking the delightful front desk receptionist for the ability to make calls within the hotel, she sent the overnight operations staffer to my room. He pronounced the phone to be ‘kaput,’ and left. I do understand reception had not collected a security deposit from me when I checked in and probably did not want to risk outgoing call usage. **Breakfast was the standard central-eastern European meat, cheese, and more meat and more cheese. And I recall fresh fruit and pastries as well as eggs. **I hope the hotel is still operating with the same gracious spirit as it did during my pandemic summer visit. It was delightful. I would stay there again happily. In my experience, the hotel set a gold standard. And, resulting from such a good experience I searched for OREA hotels at my subsequent destinations.

It is the 2nd time we stay in this hotel. It is located in a quiet area, easy to reach in the area of ​​the old center. We liked the possibility to check-in online. This time, I received an update to the camera at no extra cost. The rooms on the upper floors offer you a dream view of Spilberk Castle.

The hotel might look average on the outside but inside it's very pleasant and well equiped hotel with nice staff and great rooms. Breakfast on this place are very tasty and you have a lot of things to choose from. The bus stop is just across the street and the city train stop is not far away too. If you want to have a good stay in the city of Brno, this is the place.

It's a typical business hotel in a quiet location right next to the Brno exhibition center. The hotel is clean, the rooms are renovated and modern. The reception staff could be more accommodating. I only stayed one night and did not use the breakfast. Unfortunately, the view from the room on the fourth floor was not great.

We stayed at the Orea Congress hotel last night and I genuinely can't believe what we got for our money. We arrived before check in time after a train journey and were so grateful to receive our room straight away so we didn't have to waste time. Welcome from reception was warm and helpful and the rooms are stunning. Very modern, everything you could need for a stay and we appreciated having some TV channels in English which has been a rarity on our trip. After a busy afternoon exploring Brno, which is stunning by the way, we returned to the hotel early evening and enjoyed a drink in the bar which was reasonably priced and again, had excellent service. After a good night's sleep we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast, definitely the most lavish of our trip so far. Lots of choice from fresh fruit, cooked options, cereals, bread and lots more. I have to say, as the cheapest hotel on our itinerary, I wasn't expecting much from this hotel but it exceeded all my expectations and has hands down, been the best hotel on our trip. I'd love to return or try one of the resort hotels in the Orea chain. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Unless your reason to come to Brno is on the Trade Fair grounds, the hotel is pretty far away from the center. We came by train and walked to the hotel, though. The hotel is pretty big and. with only two people at the reception desk, check-in took a while. It's been recently refurbished from what used to be a businessmen-go-to-trade-fair focus to a larger audience. Beds are comfortable, but the bathroom is rather small. I suppose the hotel was pretty full when we stayed there because the breakfast area was totally cramped. Nevertheless, everything was always available and we enjoyed it very much. Orea is definitely an option next time I come to Brno.

Not my usual type of hotel on this trans European tour, but found it on *********** (after talking to some useless person in a centralised booking phone hub) I booked it through there too. 20e cheaper to book on line, inc breakfast. A large hotel, on the outskirts of Brno. Looks as if it’s recently refurbished, very very modern, superb rooms, very friendly staff, restaurant food is awesome and the breakfast stunning. Make a point of staying here and booking on line on the day of arrival (although I suspect this place will be fully booked during Moto gp dates!)

Excellent breakfest extra broad choice, vegan. Pleasant check in, relative calm place, 30 minutes by walk to Spilberk castle. Room is cheap equiped, roomy spaces for discussion with friends and for relaxation. The only negative permanent very hot heating
