New Park Manor Hotel - A Luxury Family Hotel

This place is certainly below the standard it portrays online. We stayed for 3 nights @ £500 per night in a Superior room. The room was tiny, 24 sq meters including bathroom, the TV on the wall took up a third of the wall ! Room sizes not advertised on-line ( not on the mobile site I used ). Perhaps a bigger room would have been better, but not for £700 a night. Simply not worth it. Food was mostly good. Fairly simple evening menu. Breakfasts could be better and seemed rather average. The main dining room is not that pleasant and needs a good clean. The waiting-on staff excellent and attentive, apart from the General Manager who seemed to be most unwell on our visit. Coughing and sweating profusely and STILL insisting on waiting-on tables. Simply terrible ! I had to ask one of the staff for them to serve my food and not him. He was pleasant enough, but just needs to let his team get on with it, especially if he thinks coughing everywhere with peoples food is OK. Tip, it is NOT. Food left on tables in communal areas for hours with staff just walking past. Place needs a massive clean and some areas need updating / attention if they wish to charge the rates they advertise. The hotel is landlocked and surrounded by fenced roads. It’s not a particularly attractive situation nor close to the woods. In fact a band of touring caravans surround it. The entrance drive was scruffy with a discarded toilet greeting you for 2 days. First impressions count ! The Spa was excellent and on a different level. Clean, professional environment well organised. The hotel is geared towards a family experience & my 4 year old liked the aerial runway. Adults might struggle with the overall standard of the offering. I did speak to the manager and he seemed to understand my point of view.

Over priced … due to New Forrest Show substandard … much better locally however convenient. If anyone watches 4 in a bed Chn 4. This place would received less than Half of their rate and would you return! Thats a NO. Bathroom Tiny small with shower curtain YUKK, bed small for such a large room. Tidily bedside cabinets useless. Furniture in room needs a skip! Restaurant food was cold sent back. Lots of kids around.. over rated over priced. Stay away better options locally.

We stayed at New Park Manor in March and were really impressed by how well the hotel caters to families with young children. This was one of our first trips away with our infant daughter and we actually managed to enjoy some time as a couple thanks to their creche and baby listening service. The setting in the New Forest is really peaceful. Our room was spacious, and we were provided with everything we needed for our daughter. The spa is a real highlight and we took turns relaxing in the adult-only area throughout our stay. The restaurant had a great children’s menu, and staff were so kind and understanding. We loved the mix of historic charm and modern comfort. Ideal for a restful and indulgent family break.

Sadly disappointing afternoon tea, and very much not worth the money: - We weren’t told what type of teas we could order, and the menu didn’t contain options either - The service was slow, and we had to ask for things (water, fresh tea, etc) multiple times - Tea was bought out with no milk - When the food was delivered, the waiter didn’t explain what anything was (including the bag of icing sugar that was part of the child’s afternoon tea and which we had no idea what we were supposed to do with) - The cakes were basic at best, and some were actually inedible (even my sweet treat obsessed daughter couldn’t eat her cupcake) - The scones were small. They also had excessive icing sugar on top.

Visited with our 2 young children and grandparents at the beginning of January. I’m not going to go in to great detail but all I can say is that our visit was fantastic from the moment we arrived until the morning we left. Top marks for the cleanliness, friendliness of every single member of the staff, quality of the facilities and just the general feeling in the place. The quality of the food and drinks was also excellent quality and the Spa very relaxing (even with a 5 & 3 year old) Many thanks for a very memorable trip

My wife and I were given a voucher for a cream tea for two for Xmas. We also elected to have breakfast in order to have a day in the new forest. From start to finish we have been looked after incredibly well, the staff were friendly and very efficient, the food and drink were freshly cooked and delicious. In all a very positive experience.
