I reserved a king suite for my 2 or 3 day stay. I checked in digitally so I can go straight to my room upon arrival. I never received a digital key so I had to check in at the front desk. When I checked in at the front desk, we went to the room I reserved and it was dirty. House keeping never touched the room. This was around 8pm. They had to change my room and put me in a double bed room, which is not the room I booked. When I got to that room, I didn’t notice much of anything wrong with the room. I ate and went to bed. The next morning when I was getting around, I noticed dried blood on the bathroom door, and there was long hair in the shower. When I took a shower, the body wash and shampoo were the same exact liquid, The iron was dirty and also ruined one of my shirts with all the black melted residue. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. There was also a dog in a nearby room that wouldn’t stop barking early that morning. I packed my stuff and checked out. Upon checkout, since they had to change my room, there was a $30 additional charge. When I saw that, the front desk immediately corrected it, but that should have never happened either. I told the front desk associate about this experience. He was empathetic and offered to have someone to call me. He also offered to comp my room. I told him that I didn’t want my room comped because I did stay there and us the services I purchased, but I did take him up on some points when he offered. I told him someone can call me if they want to hear my experience first hand. To date, nobody has called, which tells me they don’t care either. This is by far the worst and only time I ever gave a poor rating along with feedback. I have been a good customer of Hilton being a Diamond member, however, this is not valued by this particular leadership team at this location. I ended up staying at the Holiday Inn Express down the road and it was by far a much better experience.
