Capricorn Holiday Park

I could not find hotel accomodation so thought I would try this caravan park. I stayed in self contained hut which was as good as any airbnb except that we needed to share separate well maintained bath house and toilets and that it had a pool and superb multiple cooking fridge and ovens kitchen OR own self contained non cooking fridge, kettle, sink facility in our hut. We would if cooking go to communal kitchen cook and return to eat in our hut. It was nice talking to people. It also had small outside communal pool. It had a bowling green open from may. I was really happy. Also as a tip stick to the main highway when travelling in this area. The whole of the North of western Australia is a flood plain and travelling here must be a challenge at those times.

Nice quiet park on the fringe of town. Showers ran out of hot water most days. Avoid this park in wet weather as there is no drainage and the park turns into a mud pit. Staff pleasant but very relaxed attitude with rectifying issues. Raised some minor concerns during our stay with no result, would look elsewhere next time in Carnarvon.

Awesome reception and welcome upon arrival :) Alternative arrangement sorted promptly without any fuss. Good spot for passing through and very quiet place if you need a good rest between trips. Convenient location in-between 2 Service stations. Will def. be back :) Ty

we stayed here on our way up to Exmouth. We are Gday parks members and this park is what you would expect. Very clean with friendly staff. The caravan sites are a good size and easy to get into. The park is situated below the space station which is a treat. The amenities block is very clean, with lots of hot water and amazing pressure. After travelling all day it was a very welcome stop to be able to rest. The park was very crowded when we where there so I would recommend booking before you arrive. Highly recommend

the shower head fell off hit my daughter in the face , holes in curtains and bedspreads my booking was downgraded without consultation and the room was not suitable for my disability they didn't care at all just tough if you don't like it. I booked in December for that room deluxe and was furious to get there and be downgraded to just a normal cabin

We had travelled a long distance that day, and to receive such a pleasant welcome that evening assured us of a pleasant stay. The facilities were all that we expected - clean and handy to our site. And despite being at the junction of the Carnavon/N.W highway, there was absolutely no awareness of road train engine breaking or acceleration. Just the chirpiness of a few golahs
