Hilton Garden Inn College Station

I cannot say enough good things about my experience at the Hilton Garden Inn in College Station, TX. We stayed here for my daughter's wedding and the entire wedding party and out of town guests had a fantastic time. The sales team and front desk staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, the bar tenders were friendly and made great drinks, and the housekeeping staff kept our rooms clean and comfortable. The hotel itself was beautiful and well-maintained. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting College Station, TX for business or pleasure. Thank you Hilton Garden Inn College Station for making my daughter's wedding weekend so memorable and special!

This hotel was very nice. And every staff member I encountered was pleasant and efficient and helpful. It is an older hotel but it was extremely clean both in our room and in all the common areas. The best thing I saw at this hotel was maids! And a lot of them, and on every floor. And as a result this hotel is pristine. This hotel smell's nice. I don't like the smell of Fabuloso and a lot of hotels smell that way lately. I would give this hotel a 4.5 or a 5 BUT our shower shampoo and body wash bottles were empty. Overall it's great.

We’ve stayed at this hotel previously. The layout of the lobby and outdoor spaces is fantastic and the hotel is very clean. Blake and Kathie at the front desk were both very polite and courteous. However, this weekend, we were charged a $75 “damage fee” when we did not do anything to cause damage. I spoke with Erica, the manager, about the “damage.” She was extremely rude to me and her customer service skills are non-existent. I could understand if we had actually made a mess but we didn’t. In fact, we tried to make it easy for housekeeping since I know their job is not easy.

This hotel and its staff are awesome. They are obviously there to serve their guest and go out of their way to make sure the guest receives the best service they possibly can throughout your stay. The housekeeping staff do an excellent job at servicing the guest rooms and the great service starts at the front desk during check in time. Great job!

This place charges for parking. No, it's not valet. No, it's not covered. No, it's not special in any way. What's worse is that they do not disclose this fee when making the reservation, or when you arrive and check-in. They wait until you're safely down the road when they email your invoice and BAM! You see a charge for parking in an open, uncovered parking lot. When I called I was told in no uncertain terms that they will not be waiving the fee and that I could basically go pound sand. I've been using Hilton Honors since 2010, 13 years now. I think it's about time to switch brands to a company that doesn't nickel and dime their guests, or at the very least, be upfront and honest about their greed.

This Garden Inn is fairly close to the University. It was been clean, allowed pets and was reasonably priced. The bar/restaurant was a little short staffed but it was graduation weekend so some may have been graduating. We enjoyed our stay!

We stayed on this property twice and felt like we were nickeled and dimes both times. You think we would learn our lesson after the first stay. The property is very nice as it is modern and clean. Housekeeping does a fantastic job keeping the rooms clean and engineering does an equally great job keeping it modern and running. However, the front desk and management are less than desirable. The front desk staff is nice, but is not allowed to make any decisions at all. Only the GM is allowed to make a call on any issue so you better hope she is on duty when you have a problem. Otherwise, you’re playing the waiting game. We were asked to switch room as they overbooked. When we declined, they re-booked us in our original room thinking we would accept a smaller room. They failed to honor the original rate and charged us $400 per night assuming g we would not noticed. It took a whole day to work it out and of course, we had to wait until the manager went on duty. I have stayed at many Hilton properties and this is the only one that charges for pets. This is also the only garden-type hotel that charges you for breakfast. I am surprised they don’t charge for parking and extra towels. Thats probably next. I realize this is a college town and rooms will be limited during certain times of the year. This should be a last resort as there are other hotels and Air B&B available. Just do your diligence and book early to avoid this property.

Hotel and staff was nice. However, we stayed here for the indoor pool. We had small children with us that wanted to swim, and we were there to celebrate their birthday . The indoor pool was ice cold. Indoor pools should have a heater. We were unable to use the pool due to how cold it was. It was a big disappointment. We were very dissatisfied and had unhappy children.

4 night stay no issues good price. restaurants within walking distance. great weather.close to Texas A&M.will stay there again when I go back. plenty of free parking. lots to do in the area. helpful staff
