Miller's Guest House

The place is a fabulous location for dinner. You can sit and enjoy the view of the fishing boats coming into the bay and unloading their catch. The menu is limited, with quite a few dishes not available, and be warned, the wine is imported, and I felt £41 was excessive for a bottle of Chilean Sauvignon Blanc. The fayre itself was good.

We visited Buccoo March, 2020 and vowed that someday we would be back. We were specifically interested in Miller’s Guest House because of the location and we are not disappointed. We stayed in unit#8 overlooking the warf. The apartment is spacious and has all that you would need for your stay. We could see upgrades being done in all of the rooms, and if you enjoy basic, comfortable accommodations, this place is perfect. The WIFI worked fine, however when I was watching a movie and my husband was googling stuff, it was a bit slow. There was lots of music and activity on the pier when the fishermen would bring in their catch. If that tends to bother you, bring ear plugs to sleep. … which might come in handy when the resident rooster sounds his alarm very early in the morning. We bought groceries at nearby stands and mini-marts, however did enjoy our meals out. We were very impressed with Winston, his knowledge of Tobago and his roots in such a warm and friendly community. My husband enjoyed discussing world events with him and appreciated his conversant manner. We will definitely come back.

Perfect as ever. Lovely rooms, one overlooking the sea with kitchen facilities. Comfortable and beautifully decorated. Dinner overlooking the sea eating fresh fish which we could see being landed. Friendly welcome from everyone with swim next day on fantastic beach. All reasonably priced.

We stayed four nights in the double room #6. Clean, good a/c, fridge, well functioning bathrooms and a good bed. Shared small and roofed veranda outside with a glmpsed view of Buccoo bay. Winston is a good host and always around. 20 m down to D’Icy Blue Restaurant with view of fishing piet and the bay and beach. About 10-15 min walk to Cornerstone Supermarket where you can buy what you may need and pay with card. 10 min walk starting at bosrdealk below restaurant to the magnificent Buccoo beach. A well kept and functional guest house with great location. Recommended.

Positives: The rooms were clean and beautiful. Very small but not bad at all. Reasons I'm never going back: I wanted to check in late, when I arrived the host told me room one. He was asleep when I came and this was my first time. When I looked for a room with no. 1 on the door I couldn't find it because it was behind a closed door that looked like an occupied house. So I took the 1st room of the doors that I saw thinking he made an error. One the final day of my stay the owner tried to have me pay additional since I took the wrong room. He did not help me check in, was asleep, so I refused. Luckily he final agreed that it was his error. I've seen many review about the owner having a certain vibe and I got it. It's not a warm welcoming vibe at all. I also hated the fact that I had to manually open the gates everytime I went in and out. Although it's on the beach front, the general area, like the streets, I didn't like. I prefer a more vacation vibe.

This is my favorite place to stay in Buccoo, Close proximity to everything! The restaurant overlooks the beach ,the people are welcoming and Winston ,the owner is always around to make sure you are comfortable! I’m planning my next trip soon !
