Campanile Troyes Sud - BUCHÈRES

What a fab surprise! We booked as a stopover for our journey south. Easy accessed with plenty of parking in a residential area. It was busy and the staff were brilliant- efficient, quick and friendly. Rooms exactly as expected, clean, functional and great shower. The icing on the cake was the restaurant- a really generous buffet, full of healthy salads, meats, cheeses. So impressed for the budget that we’ll be booking for our return trip. Well done.

Comfortable enough room although a bit dated. The food in the restaurant was okay, but nothing special. Its just off the main road so easy access and easy to get away in the morning onto the road North/South. Its expensive for what it is really, but okay for an overnight stop.

Air broke for the last 2 days , apparently. Did t think to inform guests before they arrive or even at checking. Room warmer than outside and there is a heatwave. Shocking customer service. The air conditioning was the main reason for booking as I needed a good nights sleep to break up a long journey.

Travelling with 2 dogs, we needed somewhere more suitable than a city centre budget hotel. This place was brilliant. A proper motel where you park near your room, and all ground floor rooms looking onto garden. The room was basic but very clean with comfortable beds. We had a meal.in the restaurant; buffet starter and pud, with 4/5 choices of main for €25. It was lovely! Breakfast the next day also great. Staff couldn't do enough for us, very friendly and helpful. The best bit was the enclosed space for the dogs to run around - which would also suit those travelling with children. Will definitely stay there again.

A very basic hotel, no frills but they’re not expected at the price paid. Room was ok, no anti slip mat in shower which made things interesting !! Staff were very pleasant and check in was a breeze, but I wouldn’t recommend staying g more than one night, a good place to rest after a long drive but was up early to get out of there and back on the road. Breakfast was very basic but adequate

Despite a sad-looking exterior in need of a make-over, the rooms and restaurant all look good, particularly the restaurant with its outdoor terrace. The location is good too, in a quiet semi-rural area of the nearby village of Buchères, very accessible from the A4, A5 and A26 motorways. Our room was clean and smart and the bed comfortable, up to the standard we expect from Campanile, and we slept well. The restaurant is smart too, although post-Covid, the menu choice is still restricted with fewer mains. But the usual buffet of hors d’œuvre and desserts was well-stocked. The staff were friendly and the service was good. Two were trainees but they coped very well, despite having to also serve a large party of sports club members. So, don’t be put off by appearances, that what matters is good.
