I arrived at the hotel at 10am after an 11 hour flight from Asia. I was told check in is at 3pm and my room was not ready, but I could "try" to check in at 2:30pm. When I finally checked in I was given a room on the first floor facing a busy road. I was too tired to complain about the noise and the tv that did not work, took a shower and fell asleep. At close to midnight I woke up in a sweat as the air conditioning had stopped working and the noise from the busy road was too much. I went down to reception to request another room and was told essentially that it was my fault for not requesting a quiet room. This was the most ridiculous statement from the receptionist. So I should of also requested a working AC, TV, and probably a bed? She gave me a room that was updated on the 7th floor that was cleaner and everything worked. Why was I not provided this room in the first place? The culture of this hotel is that the guests are privileged to stay here and the staff put up with us. I cannot emphasize enough the lack of basic service that is prevalent in this hotel. Definitely would not recommend.
