BALTAZÁR Boutique Hotel

We loved staying at the beautiful unique Balthazar. The staff were amazing and everything was of the highest standard. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite and it didn’t disappoint. A special thank you to the team who made my daughter’s birthday feel extra special. Highly recommended for location and nearby restaurants and the food at Balthazar is very good too.

The suite was comfortable clean and homely. The staff were welcoming and very helpful particularly young waitress who helped us sort out the transport app! It a small intimate hotel and the decor very different to the usual chain hotel which we liked. The location is in the lovely Castle Hill area which we would recommend as opposed to the Pest side which is very busy traffic wise but you are closer to restaurants. However, that sis t bother us, the bus 16 from city centre ran every 10 mins to castle hill requiring short walk to hotel. Also Uber and Bolt are very reliable costing around £8. The breakfast was really tasty, freshly made and good quality produce.

This was the best hotel room we have found for a family of 4 anywhere in Europe! The room has two bedroom areas and a little lounge, really cool furnishings and was modern, clean, and with character. The location is great - it is very close to key sights in Buda but in a quiet street. The restaurant on site is great too. I would highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.

The pros: Extremely comfortable bed, clean room and a good place to relax in. The staff we encountered were very good. We had a problem with our booked room and this was sorted out without any problems. The breakfast (Eggs benedict in my case) was very tasty. The cons: Small things - I would say the breakfast time could be a little earlier, especially on weekdays. I had to work from 8 (they advertise as catering to business travellers) and really had to rush it. Interestingly, on our final breakfast we were offered bread, which we weren't on the previous mornings. I still prefer buffet breakfasts but can understand why they don't offer this. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. If you want a peaceful location - but with easy access to the centre, then you can consider this hotel.

Our room, tucked away overlooking a peaceful courtyard, was a haven. The church bell tower peeking over the rooftops in the distance? It felt like stepping into a Monet. Everything – the crisp linens, the powerful shower – spoke of thoughtful care and a recent refresh. It was a space designed for quiet contentment. Honestly, if you're the kind of traveler who seeks out the authentic heart of a place, who values that extra layer of history and genuinely warm service, the Balthazar is your spot. Because let's be real, Pest can be a glorious, chaotic symphony. But up there, in the Castle District, at the Balthazar, we found our own tranquil melody – a true escape within the embrace of a magnificent city.

Baltazar Budapest Boutique Hotel is a beautiful small hotel in a very quiet street, with comfortable beds, spacious rooms and a filling breakfast! I enjoyed every minute. I highly recommend it especially for couples or friends! Chrissa Z. Athens Greece
