My wife and I had a good experience at this resort. Cabin was very clean and beds were comfortable didn’t like the TVs set up with Amazon fire. Was confusing to use, but we were not there to watch TV. Did not see the owners in our 24 hours stay But that was OK. I’m glad we were there with other responsible people who did not make noise as the cabins are pretty tightly together.

This is the perfect place to relax, enjoy family and friends, have a reunion, with clean cabins, wonderful outdoor area with games, fire pits, chairs, pavilion, grilling options, and we have come for four years now and hope to come for many more. Plus you are close to their great dock on the river, for fishing or just sitting at the table watching the beautiful sunsets. Greg and Tara are so kind and respond to anything we need right away! Highly recommend - but don't want our week as it's our sibling family reunion!!! The five of us gather every year for this get-together and are so happy we found the Big River Escape - it meets all our needs!!

Perfect location as a base to the Great River Road, National Eagle Center, wineries, state parks and the Mississippi. The cabins are comfortable and have all the comforts of home. The owners and staff are wonderful.

Very, nice and quiet stay. Would definitely be coming back. The local pub & gas station was very welcoming and friendly to us for not being from the area.

Eastward bound
Just a one night on a long road trip. The email I was sent with a ton of information was great but as we were on the road 4 days prior to receiving the email the info was a tad late. Bring your towels and wash clothes as they are not provided. We did not know to pack those things but got lucky and the Dollar Store had towels on sale so all was good. We ate just down the road and it was quite good as was the ice cold beer and friendly service. Camper trailer worked out just fine for the one night.

Great location. We are here for fishing the river. We would so stay here again! Very nice! River Ratze bar and restaurant was nice! And SO close!

Nice little cabins next to the Mississippi River, about 10 minutes drive to Alma, where our family lives. Well used space, bed comfort "ok" with a pretty good stocked kitchen. Shower head sprayed well above my head (I'm 5'3") so height for a tall person is good. Water pressure of the shower is good and very hot. Floors are uneven in the cabin we stayed in, with a soft spot near the fridge and bathroom area. Weather was nice for October, and nightly cost seemed a bit high for this time of year, but the location was perfect, as any train sounds were far off vs. right next to us, so that made it worth it. A couple of other family members chose to rent a room in Alma, so they were woken up in the night by trains tooting their horns.

Uniquely different property. Appears to be a Nice set up for hunters/fishermen. A little deceiving listing as it is not on the water. You can see the River and a short walk across the road to the dock but not on the River. It is in a residential area.

Cute cabins near the river front. Well maintained and cabin was clean. Some repairs are needed such as the floor was soft and slightly slanted. Despite this I would stay here again. Warning… you have to supply your own towels but bedding included. There’s a Dollar General right up the road if needed.
