From the moment we arrived Kelly, Simon, and the crew made every part of our stay extra special. Carefully crafted and curated to ensure every need or want is thought of and if (on the off chance) there is something not already provided, they quickly and happily accomodate. Because of the energy and care put into the running of the place, it is easy to build deep connections with staff and other guests, and I feel like I have experienced a place I will want to return to throughout my life, sharing this special paradise with friends and other family. Mum and I came for a diving holiday and achieved this and so much more! The dive crew are on point - professional, fun and inspiring and while you are paired with your own instructor for the week, every crew member (and this extends to every staff member) goes out of their way to say hi and chat, sharing in the excitement of pre and post dive bliss! We had an unbelievably beautiful stay from beginning to end. We spent 12 nights at Oasis and honestly would have loved to stay longer! Even before we checked in, the team already impressed us. While we were still in Manado, they helped us organize a tour to the National Park and even rearranged our transfer. Fantastic service! From the first moment, we were warmly greeted by name and felt very personally cared for. Thanks to the excellent internal communication, the staff always seemed to know where we were and what was happening during the day. For example, shortly after lying down by the pool, we received a complimentary iced tea, during dinner we were asked about the shark sightings from our dive, and after a lunchtime chat with the staff we were even invited by the managers to go jogging the next morning. We have never experienced such thoughtful and personal attention on any holiday. It truly goes far beyond “normal hospitality” and turns the stay into a real luxury experience. The resort itself is simply a dream. With only 12 cottages (something we really appreciated), it feels very private and exclusive. Everything is perfectly maintained by a team of almost 100 staff members. The cottages are spacious, the paths and pool area immaculate, and the gardens are beautifully kept with stunning views of the sea and Manado. The food was another highlight – varied, creative, and always delicious. The kitchen adapted dishes to our wishes, prepared local specialties like Gado Gado, and even created unique dishes such as a tempeh burger. Little touches like changing napkin folds, staff remembering our preferences, and their genuine interest in chatting with us made every meal special. We also had the chance to enjoy a tasting menu, which was phenomenal. Diving was pure luxury as well. Often we had the boat all to ourselves, and at most shared it with one other cottage. We had the same dive guide throughout our stay and could decide every day where to go next. The variety was incredible – from night dives to wrecks to Turtle City. The corals and biodiversity were breathtaking. PADI courses can be booked easily too, and successful participants even receive a little gift from the hotel. A huge thank you to managers Simon and Kelly for making our stay so memorable, including the 6 a.m. jog in 30 degrees Celsius! And of course to the amazing staff: Susi & Poolboy for the wonderful singing, Gusti, Morten, Angga, Susi, Leni, Raldy and all the service staff for their hospitality, Sandy and Mei with the entire boat crew for unforgettable dives, and André, Chika, Mel and the reception team for their quick and caring responses. And not to forget everyone behind the scenes in housekeeping and gardening – you all contributed to making this stay so special. We felt completely at home at Oasis. You can be truly proud of what you achieve here every single day and what you offer to your guests. Thank you for everything – we will never forget this holiday!

There aren’t enough superlatives to describe Bunaken Oasis Dive Resort. This is a stunning property with the most amazing diving we have ever done. The proprietors have created a 5-star experience from top to bottom in a location that is pure heaven. Kelly and Simon manage the resort with a leadership style that is not only designed to make every guest feel special, but they have imbued in the staff a similar ethos. We have never met a friendlier staff who go out of their way to make guests feel like this is their home. The accommodations are spectacular, and exude a sense of calm relaxation that sweeps over you from the moment you touch the pier on the boat ride from Manado. The food is top-notch, and every amenity is carefully attended to. From the front desk staff to Gusti the head waiter, whatever your heart desires magically appears. On our last night, the restaurant staff surprised us with a poolside dinner, where we were serenaded by the pool attendant, playing guitar and singing everything from John Denver to Rod Stewart. That’s the approach of Bunaken Oasis - everyone is a part of YOUR experience. Now to the diving. Pristine reefs, gorgeous sloping coral and walls, walls, walls everywhere you look. Marine life abounds, and at one point in a dive, we were surrounded by 8 huge green turtles. The boats are meticulously maintained, the rental equipment top-notch and the dive staff - led by Peter - is professional and well-trained at creating remarkable dive experiences. This is a sophisticated operation with Nitrox and technical mixes available. We flew halfway around the world to visit Bunaken Oasis, and we can’t wait do it again!

Our stay at Oasis Dive Resort Bunaken was absolutely fantastic. The resort is beautiful, the accommodation excellent, the food delicious, and the diving unforgettable. Simon, Kelly, and all the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special, and we couldn’t fault a single thing. We even got engaged during a magical sunset cruise on our last day, and the team organised a celebration we’ll never forget. We left with so many wonderful memories and can’t recommend Oasis highly enough – it’s a truly special place

We just spent 7 glorious days snorkelling at Bunaken Oasis. The resort is immaculate, the food excellent and the personalised service from time of booking to leaving outstanding. The infinity lap pool is spectacular and great for lap swimming and a great refresher after a day spent in the ocean. But the snorkelling ! Wow ! Simply spectacular. The resort is small and boutique allowing for very personalised service. All the happy staff were local and clearly passionate about working at the resort. We just loved it !
