Great place to stay! Can't think of enough superlatives to describe the quality of this B&B or the folks (owners) who run it! My girlfriend and I stayed there 2 nights over Valentine's Day. Beautiful location, excellent breakfasts (made to order), quiet location, Heather and her husband, Tom, are outstanding hosts! We will certainly return one day.

Spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at the inn. Decor was lovely including the Christmas village. Wood burning stove kept common area cozy. Loved the in room fireplace and bath tub. All breakfast items were delicious and our hosts, Heather and Tom, both wonderful. Highly recommend!

We LOVED our experience at Speckled Hen Inn! The kind and helpful hosts Heather and Tom took good care of us and also gave us our space for our honeymoon. The room was pristine and the linens, towels, and robes were very high quality and comfortable. The breakfasts were varied and super tasty. Additionally, we really enjoyed meeting and learning about the animals on the farm!

Speckled Hen Inn is a very relaxing getaway and a quiet area to unwind. Excellent food and hospitality is top notch. Heather and Tom are outstanding hosts and we enjoyed getting to know them. We loved it so much that we booked another reservation for our anniversary at the B&B before we had completed our stay.

The Inn is a terrific property. Heather and Tom are outstanding hosts who go out of their way to make sure their guests are comfortable and well-fed. The breakfasts are wonderful and the breakfast conversations with the hosts are great too. We had a fabulous stay.

My husband and I spent the weekend in the Madison lakes room at the Inn. The room was modern with luxuary sheets and some of the coziest robes. Jetted tubs and comfy chairs, invite you to spend a day cozied in your room. The hosts prepared fresh baked cookies, a water vase and ice prepared in our rooms on arrival. Coffee and popcorn are included in your room. There are many touches that the hosts have that ensure your stay is special. The main area has wine for purchase, games, puzzels, and much more. The inn is just 20 minutes from downtown madison making it a great way to enjoy the city and serenity of this property at the same time. Breakfast was 15/10. Great food and company with the other guests. The property had animals, gazebo, fire pit and walking trails. Overall a wonderful getaway. We plan to be a repeat guest in the future!

We stayed here for our first anniversary and we loved it! Everything from check in to check out was perfect. Heather and Tom are great hosts and very accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay enjoyable. Our favorite part was seeing all the farm animals! I would recommend their place.

The Speckled Hen is our favorite bed and breakfast anywhere. Tom and Heather are great hosts and their attention to detail is unsurpassed. We have stayed there twice and loved it each time. The place is spotless and the food top notch. Heather and Tom really make you feel at home.

My wife and I celebrated our 9th anniversary at the Speckled Hen in October of 2024. We stayed there when we got engaged and have been back a few times in between. We think the Speckled Hen is the best Bed and Breakfast there is. The hosts, Tom and Heather, are wonderful people. They are accommodating, friendly, professional, experienced and always have a smile and their faces. The rooms are always very comfortable and clean. The food is so good, we wish we could stay for more. The property has a nice walking path and they have a variety of animals outside that are fun to interact with. The Inn is so close to so many attractions it makes for a great getaway. We highly recommend the Speckled Hen.
