The location was great. The beds and rooms beautiful. Service was excellent. The laundry facilities were great. There is a small kitchen available if you want to do your own, which we did on several occasions and sat outside to eat and it was very relaxing.

Awesome place to base yourself on Norfolk. Staff are happy and ready to help. Rooms are spacious and clean Location close to town and the on-site brewery and restaurant are convenient and good!! Pizzas last night were yum. Will definitely stay here from now on.

Thank you Kim and Vumi and Pepsi for a wonderful lunch and making us feel so welcome. Great atmosphere surrounded by natures beauties. Full menu with lots to choose from. Plenty of seating and parking. Clean and well maintained property. I recommend going there to anyone visiting Norfolk Island.

We took a tour group here in November and were really well looked after by Sarah and Tony. Everything worked well and we felt right at home. Good food and great people. Even though we were quite a large group nothing was too much trouble and as group leaders we were well catered for.

I stayed here with a tour group for a week. The accommodation was very modern and both the room and the bathroom were large. It had a bright, breezy, tropical feel and very clean! There is even an extra kitchen for guests to use with a stove, full fridge freezer & bbq. Very friendly and helpful staff. They have a great restaurant that has entertainment twice a week out on the deck that has spectacular views along with happy hour every afternoon. The food was always good. The wood fire pizzas they do on twice a week are a hit and a lot of locals come for them. It’s also close to town and we walked in nearly every day.

Great central place to stay on Norfolk Island with wonderful, very helpful hosts, Sarah & Tony. Large, spotless rooms with very comfortable beds. Restaurant meals were delicious. Could not fault the Castaway Hotel. Will definitely be back.

I shall always remember Castaway Hotel as this name not only is best hotel on Norfolk but the best hotel I have ever stayed in my life the beds are amazing and from a business point your Prices are excellent, I have stayed for a week and honestly I am so happy I found your place. Your check in was magic and so stress free your staff are a credit to you they are all very nice, friendly and professional I felt special from the beginning to the end. Your hotel has such a beautiful lobby and grounds and your restaurant and food was amazing. My room was lovely, super clean with most comfortable bed I have ever slept on! and OMG love the pillows!!!:))) bathroom with shower very clean. I am so happy with my stay it was actually very sad to leave! Overall I had best stay ever and definitely will back there and will recomend this peace of heaven on Norfolk Island to everyone!! Dale

Went to Castaways to visit Norfolk Island Brewing and have an ale. Attached to the hotel this microbrewery has some interesting offers eg guava cider. Food was ok too. Nice outlook on a fine day and pleasant service. Recommend stopping by on your island stay. Modern facilities and plenty of tables and chairs for bigger groups. Located behind the South Pacific Apartments.

We ate at Castaway Restaurant 3 times during our stay at Norfolk Island and loved the beers from their craft brewery, Norfolk Island Brewing. We tried all 3 of their brews (plus they do a cider), but our favourite was their XPA. It's a shame they only sell it from the tap over the bar, we would have loved to bring some home with us, it is delicious...The restaurant has indoor and outdoor dining, and the outdoor area has views across the valley to the airport, so you can also see flights coming and going. Definitely go there if you are a beer drinker!
