The beds were comfortable. Baileys restuarant was excellent, however it's only open in the evenings. There's a nice cafe at Reception with good coffee and a cold alchoholic drinks. We found it uncomfortable not having wifi available in the rooms. You can only get wifi in the public areas, and you can't pay to have wifi in the cabins. Some of the fly screens were torn. The staff asked us to carry our own luggage. My husband is vision impaired, and our friend has mobility issues. I had to help both of them take their luggage up to their cabins, which involved a small flight of stairs. The bus driver that collects the luggage at the hotel to take us back to the airport expects people to take the luggage to them which involved taking the suitcases from the outside waiting bay down a kerb so we can hand the luggage to them. I asked for a toastie at the Boatshed for breakfast, and they said they couldn't make it. I was asked to purchase a continental breakfast if I wanted toast with spreads. There are no toasters in the cabins. Not the most comfortable place to stay in. I would shop around if I was looking at going to Norfolk Island. I filled in the feedback form in the cabin, and I never received an acklowledgement or thank you from Governers Lodge. I wouldn't know if the feedback was passed on the the decision makers.
