Palacio de Godoy Caceres, Curio Collection by Hilton

We stated at Palacio Godoy for a long weekend and honestly loved it. The hotel is inside a restored palace, which already makes it special, but what really surprised us was how warm and welcoming the team was from the moment we walked in. The room was super comfortable (bid bed, great shower pressure, and those little details like good lighting, quiet A/C, and thick curtains that make all the difference when you travel). I also appreciated how clean everything felt. Breakfast was great; not a giant buffet, bur really good quality. Fresh pastries, great coffee, local products, and eggs made to order. The person at breakfast recommend a few local dishes and places to visit and they were spot-on. We also tried the spa one afternoon after walking around all day, and it was the perfect way to relax. The sauna and pool area are small, but very peaceful. Location couldn't be better (literally steps from the old town and all the main attractions. We walked everywhere and just loved getting lost in the streets around the hotel. Overall, a wonderful place to stay. Stylish, comfortable, and with a team that really cares. We would definitely come back!

I travel frequently for work, and since the opening of the Hilton Palacio de Godoy, I’ve stayed here several times. You can tell it’s a recent opening — every visit I notice new improvements and great attention to detail. It’s truly the only high-class hotel in the city, ideal both for business trips and for meeting colleagues in a refined yet comfortable setting. The common areas are beautifully decorated, creating an elegant and welcoming atmosphere. The location is simply perfect, right in the heart of the wonderful city of Cáceres. A true reference point every time I’m in town for work.

My wife and I stayed at Palacio Godoy for a long weekend in a King Suite located in the old cloister. It was a wonderful experience — the perfect mix of history and modern design. You can really feel the weight of history at night while surrounded by beautiful contemporary artworks. Service was excellent throughout our stay. The front desk was quick and helpful, breakfast was great (special mention to the eggs Benedict!), the bar was beautiful, and the restaurant was absolutely delicious. Chef Antonio even came to greet us — his dishes combine the best of Extremadura’s traditions with a subtle Peruvian touch. A lovely surprise. We also enjoyed the gym and sauna, perfect after exploring Cáceres’ historic centre, and the rooftop terrace with views of a nearby Gothic church. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates culture, history, and quiet luxury.

One of the most beautiful properties I’ve stayed at. The building has been brought back to life with such care, and it’s wonderful to see a restoration done with real thought and respect for its history. They’ve managed to modernize it without losing an ounce of its charm. If you want a five-star experience wrapped in the warmth of the Spanish countryside, stay here. It was one of my favorite stops of the trip. The breakfast was excellent. Fresh, generous, and far beyond what I expected for the price. The staff couldn’t have been kinder or more attentive. I needed help with a dress for an event, and they sent someone straight to my room to assist. It completely saved my evening. It’s rare to find that kind of personal service anymore, and between that and the beautiful grounds, it’s somewhere I’ll happily return to. Cáceres is such a charming, understated town, and Godoy Palace was the perfect place to slow down and enjoy the countryside at our own pace.

Amazing hotel, the palace is impressive, beautiful art pieces all over, the bedrooms are elegant and comfortable, the whole atmosphere made me travel in time.

The Godoy Palace is an absolute gem — a perfect mix of history and modern luxury. The rooms are beautifully designed with rich wood paneling, high-end finishes, and some unexpected touches like heated toilets and powerful rain showers. The rooftop terrace overlooks the old town and is the perfect place for a drink at sunset. The spa feels truly five-star — elegant, quiet, and beautifully run. Everything about the hotel feels thoughtful and carefully done, from the architecture to the service. For the level of quality you get here, the price is honestly a steal. One of those rare hotels that’s even better than the photos.
