Arrels Hotel Cadaques - Adults Only

This small hotel was unique with its linear arrangement of small bungalows spanning out from the main building along a terrace high above the old village and the sea. The room, although, smallish was well appointed and very comfortable. Our private terrace had a magnificent view of the village, the church and the sea. It only took 10 minutes to walk the stairway path to the village. The reception person was welcoming and very professional. The porter, Juan, was extremely friendly and helpful. Our visit was very restful. We hung out on our patio and by the pool gazing off at the wonderful view. Our stay left us with great memories of Cadaques.

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night. Family ru small boutique hotel. Room was tiny, could not even have enough space to open luggage accordingly. Bes and pillows were comfortable. Room had air conditioner and small balcony to have a beautiful view of the city. Hotel is located outside Cadaques on a hill what gave us the oppotyunity to have a marvelous view of Cadaqyes from our room and while havind the delicicious breakfast. But was far away from the city which made it difficult to walk on the afternoon or nigjt. I would have prefered an jotel located on the town itself. Breakfast is served overlooking beautiful Cadaques an is breathtaking. Served by the daughter of the owner. Really delicious options and all you can eat desserts. What a wonderful place! Stunning views, Fantastic service and the staff provides an amazing breakfast every morning. The hotel is located just above the center but on walking distance. Beautiful premises where you will find Lots of space, nature and privacy. A gem!

This is simply a delightful hotel. We loved our room, it was simply decorated but had everything we needed. The welcome we received was great and all members of the family are involved in the running of the hotel. The breakfast was scrumptious and served in the dining room which has a view to die for. It definitely deserves 5 stars (if not 6). We are very picky customers but would definitely go back to Arrels. If you do decide to book please do so directly with the hotel and not via one of the agencies - it's a better deal for the hotel and for you!

The views over cadaques are incomparable and the family have made this spot amongst the terraced olive groves heavenly. Easy car access from the main road into the town ( look out for sign on left and don’t follow satnav into town) and ample spacious parking. It’s only a 5 minute walk into the town via steps or a quiet road so do not let the elevated position of the hotel put you off - the views and ambience are well worth it. Our room (#3) was simply furnished but with all we needed including air con, fridge and TV. Comfy large bed and lots of power sockets ( often an issue in hotels). Large shower which even has a panoramic view of the town! Spacious balcony overlooking town and sparkling sea. Delicious breakfasts on the terrace and evening tapas with gins and tonic in the cosy sitting/ dining room. Great 10m pool with loungers which get sun all day. The family ran a renowned restaurant in town so they know how to treat guests very well. You can just imagine Dali and his friends partying on the roof terrace ( which they apparently did!) . A very special hotel - we will be back!

The hotel is beautifully situated on the side of the mountain surrounded by olive trees and grape vines with an amazing view of Cadaques. The rooms are spread out on the nearly 10 acre property and are very clean and nicely appointed with varying size terraces with chairs/lounge chairs so that you can relax and enjoy the ambiance. The pool is very nice and well maintained with a beautiful view of the town. Tito, the charming owner, surprised the guests with complimentary ice cream sandwiches poolside. Carla, Tito’s daughter and co-owner, was also delightful. Carla writes and records her own music and performs at the hotel on certain nights during the summer. Breakfast was delicious and included wonderful omelettes, breads, pastries, coffee, tea and fresh fruit and juices served at tables overlooking the beautiful coastal view of the town. Breakfast is served starting at 9 am. There is no restaurant for lunch or dinner but they offer simple but tasty sandwiches for anyone not wanting to make the trek into town. The Bar is open until around 10 pm. We parked our car at the hotel (complimentary parking) and walked everywhere during our 3 days in Cadaques. (Apparently there is only 1 Eco taxi that will transport people within Cadaques and he happened to have the day off the one time we wanted to use the service. Regular taxi service apparently won’t pickup and drop off within Cadaques). Since the hotel is situated on the side of the mountain, it does mean that you have to climb 60 steps to get to the hotel on foot. Walking back to the hotel from the port and Casa Dali was definitely a workout, and not recommended for anyone with mobility problems, but given all the wonderful meals we enjoyed during our stay, was much needed. We highly recommend Arrels Hotel Cadaques and looking forward to returning in the not so distant future.
