My friend and I are traveling around France for a couple of weeks. We picked this hotel based on reviews and price. It was a good location to drive to Omaha Beach and the surrounding area. We each had a room with a king size bed, a very large bathroom with a wonderful shower and separate large tub. Free Coffee, tea and water provided in the room and a small refrigerator with snacks and drinks available at a modest price. Beds were very comfortable and room temp was great. Very quiet location and free parking. The best thing was Julia, the front desk staff person. Extraordinary service and assistance with everything we needed including ordering Thai food from a local restaurant because the restaurant was closed on Sunday night and Monday night, the two nights we were there. She deserves a GIANT Thank You and a Gold Star! I would definitely stay there again if I ever return to France.

It is a mistake to represeent this hotel as five star because it definitely is not. Our room had a sloping ceiling which restricted height and made it feel very small. in addition the lighting is poor and the decor is dark making the rooms appear very dingy. The configuration of the room did not lend itself to be five star and neither did the bathroom which had no door on it. There were nice touches in the room such as complimentary water and sweets and the toiletries were good. We paid extra for the breakfast in the morning expecting it to be to a Michelin standard but it was a continental breakfast with no cooked choices available. Unfortunately in our view the only reason to stay in this hotel is if you were eating dinner in the Michelin Star restaurant, however the menu was so restrictive that we had to eat elsewhere.

Great parking, disappointing room not up to even a 3* hotel - small with sloping ceiling and we did not like the purple walls and chairs, poor pillows, high bath to get into. Restaurant - excellent pan-fried foie gras (although tomato base accompaniment a bit overpowering) and veal, copious dessert, very ordinary wines in menu de confiance - should have selected the wine.

We found the hotel team very welcoming. The room was spacious and huge bed. Bathroom also very spacious and lots of nice touches in the room - robes, water, slippers. Staff speak good English, but also spoke back to me in French when I tried to practice which was cute and appreciated. Dinner at the restaurant was amazing. Friendly attentive service and food was exceptional. Breakfast was charming with good quality produce. Room was warm and the ac wasn’t able to be controlled, but apart from that we had a lovely stay.

Wonderful property with excellent staff and management. Very convenient location. Parking on site without fee. Restaurant is exceptional and a has Michelin star rating. Rooms are clean and comfortable with every amenity. Excellent wine selection available too!

I tried to change my reservation short term and postpone by three days. There were available rooms so a change woukd have not been a problem. But they said their rules are that you have to advise 2 days before and it does not matter if there are enough rooms. Well I dont do a reservation again by such negative customer service

We stayed here for one night on route through France. On first glance the hotel is contemporary and thoughtfully decorated. The staff speak good English and were welcoming. We were on the second floor and our room had limited head space due to the eves. The bathroom is open plan with a separate toilet that was so high our toes only just reached the floor! The bed was very comfortable and the aircon welcome on a summers night. However our shower was either scolding hot or freezing cold - no happy medium, making it unusable. We reported it to reception but weren’t offered an alternative room and the promised visit from maintenance didn’t materialise. There was no reduction in our bill to reflect this. Breakfast was €18 per person and a typical (but fairly limited) continental set up. There was a self service egg boiler but no option for omelettes or poached eggs offered. In hindsight a croissant and coffee at a local Boulanger would have been a much better and cheaper option. Caen is a lovely town and we’d like to come back for longer, but we won’t return to this hotel.

Le séjour s’est bien passé jusqu’à ce que je découvre que ma crème de jour ait été volée suite au ménage de la chambre. Ma parole a été mise en doute mais ma crème que j’avais utilisée le matin même a toutefois bien disparue. On m’a surtout fait comprendre que cela n’était pas possible !!! Et bien tout arrive ! Ce séjour s’est déroulé le week-end du 21/ 22 septembre 2024 et je ne décolère toujours pas !

Nous avons séjourné 1 nuit en février,( 2 chambres, un diner pour 6 personnes). La semaine dernière, de passage, j'ai voulu prendre un café à 10 heures. On m'a répondu que ça n'était pas possible, sans avoir une chambre, que c'était les instructions de la maison... Dommage, 3 couverts de perdus pour le déjeuner...

Cuisine excellente, service très sympa. Patronne très désagréable. Nous avions un bon cadeau pour 2 menus à 82€ chacun. Lorsqu ils ont été achetés ils valaient 160,dit elle. La patronne nous a donc facturé 4 € de supplément malgré que je lui avais signalé qu'elle avait fait une erreur de 100€ en notre faveur. Bien entendu aucun remerciement. Elle m'a même suggéré d'oublier son adresse. Bravo

No solo no respetaron la reserva que teníamos confirmada con ellos, sino que el trato y las soluciones que nos dieron fueron impropios e inaceptables. Nos propusieron un hotel de 2 estrellas, el suyo es de 5*, otro hotel a 20 km. de distancia y se lavaron las manos sobre las diferencias de precio que se generaban en estos momentos. Todo esto con un trato prepotente, con total falta de empatia, que se puede resumir en "si yo lo tengo completo y no cumplo con su reserva, ese es su problema".

Points positifs: Accueil chaleureux, Chambre spacieuse Toilette séparée Très bien insonorisé Petit déjeuner de qualité avec un service agréable L’hôtel est situé un peu à l’extérieur de la ville avec accès au bus juste devant la porte Parking gratuit et fermé la nuit Restaurant excellent, service très agréable Large choix sur la carte des vins Bon rapport qualité/prix Points négatifs: Joint de la porte de la chambre défait, la femme de chambre n’a certainement rien remarqué sinon elle aurait eu le temps de le signaler pendant les 6 jours qu’on y était. Les bords de douche par terre moisis et pas nettoyés pendant 6 jours Rideau mal accroché dans la salle de bains.

Hele fijne en schone hotelkamers. Luxe badkamer met fijne douche, lekker dikke kamerjas en slippers completeren het geheel. De bedden zijn fijn en ruim. Op een van de avonden super goed gegeten in het sterrenrestaurant beneden. Uitstekende wijnen begeleiden de vakkundig geprepareerde gerechten. Ook de roomservice (1 avond gebruik van gemaakt) is zeer goed en eerlijk gezegd helemaal niet duur. De prijs-kwaliteit verhouding van het hotel/restaurant is ook goed. Bereikbaarheid is goed en er is genoeg parkeergelegenheid op eigen terrein. Van harte aanbevolen!
