Popped in for lunch. We both had the chicken curry, Tikka and Madras. Both very tasty. We had chips and rice with it and a poppadom. Very efficient polite service. Hot food. Also had a lager each. Good choice of drinks on tap. Very enjoyable experience. Would recommend.

All the staff were really friendly , especially the lady who was doing the housekeeping, she was the sweetest lady I’ve ever met … it was roasting , and while I was waiting for a cab she even brought me out bottles of water …

Ordered fish and chips, as only decent item with any quality apart from steak on menu, but told they didn’t have, so ordered the most expensive on the menu which was 10oz rump steak, chips were nice but looked like they were frightened to give them away, salad was out of a bag and looking tired, but worst of all was the steak, looked nice and was tender, but It just didn’t taste fresh, it had that gone off after taste, so I didn’t enjoy it all all, so for what we paid it could of been a lot better, two hungry men who walked out of the pub hungry, if I were the landlord/lady and I knew that I wouldn’t be happy, so thats why I am writing this review, come on its not difficult, serve food that you would be happy with yourself, we paid good money and you failed miserably , I would have a pint here but I wont be eating here again.

We visited here with family recently and the food we received was such poor quality we will never return, think Iceland frozen ready meal! It was truly terrible slop that should never be served to anyone paying and expecting a decent meal. Avoid!!!

My family and I were very disappointed with our visit on Sunday 18/6/23 which was Father's day and also my father's birthday. I booked a table but when we arrived we were seated in a room that was overcrowded, noisy and the sound echoed. I explained that the noise levels were so loud that my father couldn't hear anything, as he is very hard of hearing, and requested a table in the bar area near the back door, which was full of empty tables - just one table was in use. I asked the gentleman behind the bar if we could move there and explained the reason for my request, but he said he needed to keep the area free for people who wanted to sit there after finishing their meals. However, at no time during our visit was there any more than one table in use in that area. Whilst I appreciate he felt the need to do this, I felt that he could have made an exception in the circumstances. And, when I asked what he suggested as my father couldn't hear anything in the noisy restaurant area, he said he was sorry there was nothing he could do, which I found very unhelpful. I actually managed to find a table in a different, adjacent area and, when it was vacated, asked if we could sit there as it was quieter. But, I don't think it should have been left to me to find a solution. I thought that we could, at last, relax and order our food but when I asked for details of the menu items which were both gluten free and vegetarian, the server came back with a small piece of cardboard containing a list of ingredients, and said that it was for a vegetable sponge, which was my only option, as I should have mentioned my dietary requirements when I booked. But, I DID discuss this when I rang to make the booking, and I was assured that there would be no problem. By the time we actually ordered, I felt absolutely fed up and exhausted with having to sort things out and wished we had gone elsewhere. When the food came it was just mediocre, so absolutely nothing positive to say about the entire experience. And, I'd driven all the way from Cardiff for that negative experience!!
