Neko Boutique Hotel

Location was great. Parking wasn’t. Air conditioning at night wasn’t working well. Awkward check in desk location. Mattress was good, but the slightest movement on the bed and it felt unstable.

The location of the hotel is good but I don't think it was worth the money spent . In addition to this, the room marked for us had a small bed for 2 people and a very small shower box The breakfast, most of which was sweet stuff, was definitely not that of a four - star hotel !!!! Our room ,being very close to two others ,was noisy and we could hear the noise of the street and the people in the room. According to my experience, a little disappointing for the amount spent, I do not recommend this place to stay in Cagliari !

Beautiful little property in the center city of Cagliari, spacious suites and regular rooms. I chose a suite with nespresso facilities and a sofa area, and a regular room for my son and daughter.Wonderful breakfast on the terrace cooked with love by Gabriella. Tv offers Sky, Netflix and YouTube. Plenty of restaurants and cafes around. The staff is amazing and caring. A special thanks to Stefano, Simona and the big boss Ilaria who made our stay at the hotel wonderful.

Great location and kind, helpful staff (if a bit inefficient). Breakfast basic (and cold buffet) but sufficient. Rooms are more about style (Insta-friendly) than practicality. You will be living out of your suitcase as clothes storage is minimal, lighting is moody but all too dark, the safe is too small for anything larger than a phone and purse, so lock your case or carry your bigger devices around with you. There is only a messaging service for emergencies after 8pm so don’t forget/lose your access card when out. Probably would look for somewhere else if coming again, but had a good week overall.

Lovely property with minimalist decor. The hotel is perfectly located in the shopping center of cagliari. You will find shops, restaurant and supermarkets at walking distance. Private parking is also available. I recommend to book it in advance as there are only 2 spaces. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Staff is super friendly and caring. I spent four nights in this hotel, room “three”. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay. The hotel was located on the other side of the city center from University campuses where I had a conference. However, the walk through the center was very pleasant (although the city has quite a lot of hills, and thus ups and downs for walking). There are restaurants very close, as the city center and tourist area are right there next to the hotel. However, the hotel is on a side street a little bit away from the tourist area in such a way that the hotel area itself was very peaceful and quiet, even during a weekend. The breakfast was of good quality and there was nice variation in terms of breads, juices, fruits, and yogurts – considering that this was a very small hotel with probably slightly less resources than bigger hotel chains, they really made nice efforts with the breakfast. The desserts were sweet and delicious. It was also possible to order an omelet for breakfast – I did not do that but saw some others ordering. The breakfast time started only at 8 am, which was slightly inconvenient, but manageable. It is possible to enter the breakfast area through the elevator or through the stairs, but sometimes the staff did not unlock the door from the stairs in the morning so the way through the elevator generally functioned better if one was arriving early for breakfast. The cleaning was always done very well, and I am picky about that. The room had good space to place my things. There was also enough space in the bathroom. The air conditioning functioned well and it was relatively easy to adjust to one’s liking. However, during the first night I woke up feeling too cold and the system thus needed some learning to be able to use it the most effectively. The shower water ran well. The service was always nice and efficient. For example, I had asked for rugs to be removed from my room beforehand, as I have a dust allergy and can sometimes get an allergic reaction from some rugs. The hotel staff had done that, the rugs had been removed. So they clearly listened to guests’ wishes very nicely. They also replied promptly to my emails. My room had a shower in the room itself, not in the bathroom, which may not be convenient, if there is more than one person staying. I was fine with this as I was alone. The room also had a nice outside area attached to the room where it was possible to sit and, for example, work very conveniently until it got too dark in the evening. There was no view but that did not matter to me. The view from the third floor, where the breakfast was, was beautiful over several buildings in the city. It is worth noting that the reception closes at 8:00 pm and after that, one can only get to the hotel with one’s own key. So better hold on to that key, if you are coming late. Moreover, it is necessary to advise the hotel in advance if you are arriving later than 8 pm the first evening, so that the hotel may instruct you on how to get in. I

There is lots to like about the Neko. It is a lovely boutique hotel and the staff are charming and helpful and booked us restaurants and cabs, albeit they are only available 8 til 8, so there was no-one to meet us when we arrived. The breakfast is great and the location super. Housekeeping do a great job and the facilities are of high quality. However, I am not sure it was the right hotel for us. The junior suite we stayed in felt like it was set up more for instagram than practicality. The feature see through shower area in the middle of the room right in front of the entrance might be fine if you are a lithe and toned 20 something couple, but not so great for a couple in later middle age. The leather sofa with 2 inch legs looked great, but was uncomfortable. The armoured egg chair also looked great, but was also uncomfortable to sit in - but it was brilliant for drying beach towels on. The open storage facilities looked great, but weren’t that practical for a week’s clothes. The main door to the hotel was difficult to open unless there were two of us - one to unlock it and another to push the door a couple of metres away open before it locked again. It took me more than one attempt when alone. The mattress was a bit soft and hot for my liking, but I sleep on the firmest bed I can at home, so it shouldn’t bother most people. If you are under 40, have an instagram account and are confident in how you appear while washing yourself intimately in front of your other half this is the hotel for you.

Lovely stay in this hotel right in the centre of caglari. Spotless clean. Breakfast nice too. The only thing that was missing was a kettle in hotel room which would be great to make urself a cuppa. Bedroom serviced every day. Fresh towels too.

We got an apartment at the back of the hotel, that was really beautiful and nice with a kitchen, washing machine, outdoor space, a big TV and pretty much everything you need. The location of the hotel was good and the service was really good as well.
