Hotel Palia Puerto del Sol 3 Sup

Got back lastnight and wish I was still there. Hotel is some size on different levels (no lifts) but only 3 stories high, everything is spaced out so be prepared for getting your steps in! Roof top bar (chill out bar) is nice over looking the marina with sun loungers, tables and chairs, help yourself to larger, sangria, wine and soft drinks which is great so no long queues. Some entertainment is held here on a night time so there aren’t many tables available, The show bar is very small not many tables, we didn’t go in (only had a look) so can’t say what the entertainment was like. The restaurant over looks the marina, breakfast and lunch are nice, salads, breads, desserts fruit, all nice but the show cooking (hot food) not much choice on an evening, and only warm, there is a microwave which I used to heat my food up. But wouldn't moan about that, there was always something to eat, but would like to see more choice of potatoes rather than chips. There is an adults pool area, very small, and a children’s pool area, I preferred the main pool but can get a little noisy with music and activities but nothing to moan about, this pool had the snack bar which was nice, burgers, chips, salad, pizza was a bit sloppy, chicken nuggets, fruit, cakes, which were all fresh, help yourself to the drinks again, and also had slush ice. The entertainment Jumbo club were young French lads and lasses, lovely, and great fun, didn’t bother you if you didn’t want to do any activities, but would make the time to talk to you, they work so hard, and so do the cleaners, our room was cleaned and our beds made every day, rooms are massive, with air con! we were lucky to have a marina view. Bathroom could do with re-grout on the shower tiles and new shower head, but not important. Salt water shower was a challenge, and brushing your teeth, just make sure you have bottled water ready at the sink, and dry yourself properly and moisturise. There is some maintenance going on, (would have thought painting and touch ups would be done before opening) some places could do with a lick of paint. Ting ting train outside reception €5 each, takes you to Cala gran beach, (nice but not big enough) nice novelty getting the ting ting but taxi is cheaper. Hotel has its own free mini bus. Walking around the marina is just lovely, there is a small shop if you go from the main pool walk down past the tennis/football court, you come out at the entrance of the marina, that’s where the shop is and other restaurants start, you can get down from the restaurant too just a few steps at the front side, massive supermarket on the walk around. Town centre you can walk in 20mins, lots of lovely places to eat and drink. The hotel is French run, but still speak English. A lot of French there but also a lot of English. Would I return ? Yes.

Very spacious apartment plenty of wardrobe space clean complementary tea coffee etc sachets of course soap and 2in 1 wash in shower which was roomy and modern seating area very spacious and comfortable nice balcony with gorgeous marina view (pay extra for this) dining are plenty of room because it is close to end of season food was very generic but u would not starve this seems to be the case in all inclusive restaurants food was lovely tho meats were fatty pop juice and wine on tap plenty of fresh fruits hams cheese bread tools salads lovely views of the marina any time of the day staff so helpful and pleasant the chill out bar to small lovely but not enough seating space or chairs to enjoy a drink in the evening spent 3 nights there out of 7 the rest of the time bought drink to take to room very little all inclusive drinks to witch was disappointing it was extra €2.70 for pina clarda not much but it adds up and not what u want when all inclusive pools were lovely never saw the kids pool as it was just the 2 of us snack bar was nice beer and soft drinks on tap pour your own coffee available seen some entertainment in the evening was good they had a free shuttle bus that take you to Cala gran beach wich is handy it’s about a 10-15 minute walk to Cala egos and about the same to Cala d or we did have a power cut but was sorted in about 15 mins water went off twice so no shower or toilet water on are last night maintenance was sorted straight away if u have mobility issues ie walking aids scooters I would avoid as there only one lift and that’s to the dining area every where else is stairs u can access the chill out bar as there is a ramp but even the appartments are all stairs definitely no good for scooters or walking aids if needed the complex itself is very big but lovely there is a few residents blocks within the complex apart from this we enjoyed are stay would definitely stay again it’s central to most things safe is €25 for 7nights but u do get €10 back if u return the key and towels are€10 to hire for the sun loungers u can also hire a car from the reception there is on site parking to enjoy your stay we did

Upon arrival we were greeted by very friendly staff who explained the hotel meal times, map, coach to the beach etc which was lovely. This hotel is across a big space and has lots of steps/up hill/downhill so wouldn’t be suitable for wheelchair users. Rooms are modern and big! However there are some grotty parts, we had stains on the floor and the bathroom had parts of rust etc. Not sure if this was because it’s end of season and some work is needed. Room shower is salt water which wasn’t advertised but we wasn’t bothered by this, the pools are also salt water but we hardly went in as they were freezing in October time The chill out bar has a lovely vibe and the views across the marina are amazing, a lot of the entertainment was aimed at French more than English (loads of French people here). I read on another review that it’s a French chain so that must be why. Food wasn’t the best, cold and not much choice, we ate out most of the time. Snack bar did give me the ick as food was just left there all day in the heat. We paid 50 euros to have an extended check out which wasn’t too bad of a price. Luggage room bit dodgy doesn’t lock so not safe to keep valuables in. Entertainment was definitely low budget and cheesy, but each to their own. We played bingo one of the nights in the chill out bar that was fun. Seats scarce within chill out bar of an evening in October, wouldn’t like to imagine what it’s like in peak summer. Location is about 15/20 min walk to centre but you don’t mind this due to the amazing marina views! I would stay here again for a cheap getaway, it has been better than other budget hotels I’ve stayed in.

Beautiful holiday!! Ignore the bad reviews, we absolutely loved this hotel. Hotel is in the perfect location with amazing views of the marina from the restaurant. Food was lovely and had so much choice everyday. The staff in the restaurant were all really friendly. Rooms were really clean and made up everyday. We preferred to chill by the adults only pool down the stairs which was a lot quieter and more chilled. Overall really enjoyed our holiday!!

We loved this place! Everything was superb. Always lots to choose from to eat which suited all of us. Marion made our visit extra special, she was fun, energetic and worked very hard to keep everyone entertained! Was unsure of the salt water pool at first, however me and my daughter both felt it was kinder to our skin than normal pools.

We have had such a great holiday! The hotel staff are really lovely and can't do enough for you! From booking in, to cleaning, bar staff and the workers in the restaurant, that are all so hard working and fab! The hotel is right on the marina, which is really lovely to walk around of an evening. The free shuttle bust to Cala Gran beach is really handy and again, the guy who drives it is super lovely. The food was great, loads to suit everyone with fresh fish daily! We were a family of 4 in a one bedroom apartment, perfect in size, really quite spacious!! Would totally recommend x
