Gavimar Cala Gran Hotel and Apartments

It’s a little bit old one and included so I have some meals the meals are good and do the hotels in normal location in Resort parking lot but in front of the building there are several social parking lot. You can park your cars in.

Positive Some of the staff was lovely but others didn’t smile the postive staff did a good job let down by other staff . Close to beach . Large selection of drinks and food ( food quality see not as god ) Cleaning thoughout areas very good . Plenty of sun beds . Pool not to busy Negative Room we had was ground floor next to a restaurant. So a lot of noise to late the towels bedding pillows were worn and hard could easily do with a makeover rooms very dated look like the beds were actually put up beds and they creeped every time we moved they were two singles put together and moved constantly TV, no English channels Had to pay extra for fridge or to use the safe. I know it’s nothing but cleaning was really good overall, but on arrival we did find a small black hair in the shower which we cleaned. Toilet seat was loose. The overall hotel is geared to make extra money on things. The quality of the food was bad. Food was lukewarm and focused on quantity over quality and focus more on the drinks aspect of this and we felt we were just a number when was in the restaurant.. Overall what you pay is what you get it’s a cheap cheerful hotel tip go for a dating room over a cheaper room. Pay the extra bet for all-inclusive if you want to drink eat out if you want to eat things like meat or fish . Personally, I wouldn’t stay back at the hotel as the food and the general atmosphere let it down but I do feel this is something that could be worked on.

Holiday 21/9 to 01/10 Hotel set at head of Cala Gran almost perfect location It had been 2 hotels now joined by a bridge R ooms ok, very dated Chamber maid very good Lots of stairs to deal with only 2 lifts over a very large area. Up and down for bars and restuarant Main bar pool bar staff wer usualy good if you were nice to them, the same for all staff, some outstanding others ok. Entertainment even for a 3 star poor, any request to join in was a comand never please. Danger in pool area, some is wooden decking spliting and projcting srews Restuarant and food. Knowing the Hotel the buffet menu is as good as can be expected and it's display is also good Spanish food is never as hot as English food as expected; However the food was rarely warm, and often cold, having been out for sometimes well over an hou.. Fried eggs always cold in what appears to be a heated buffet. Little or no over light or under heating. My wife and I both had food poisoning, She had what appered as cooked rice that had nearly beeen cold, followed by a night of heaving. I had fish most days, however I had some very soft fish un named which one in my mouth I ejected it with the foul taste. I called fot the chef and complaines, he asserted i was prfectly good but declined to try it himself. I told him the heating was far to low, and siad he woul increase the heat, very liitle happened. We learned that quite a number had food poisoning butnever copmlaine. Other s used the hotel as a base but always ate out. Be aware before going, this is a major problem. My wife also complained and was shown the Microwave cookers, she declined as she expected th cooks to cook the food. A very dangerous situation to be in when you have paid for allinclusive holiday 2 80 year old pensioners, seen a lot of holidays, but never sutch bad and dangerous caterring

If you're looking for a cheap all inclusive holiday with excellent customer service, a pool, and an amazing kids club you won't be disappointed! We booked 5 days all inclusive for 3 adults and 1 child  My parents and my son are fussy eaters but they found something to eat everyday we were there  We were near the beach which was great but other than the train/bus tour ride there wasn't a lot for my 9 year old to do nearby. The kids club (mini club) provided by the hotel was excellent and my son really enjoyed spending 2 hours there but it's only on selected days.  We visited 8-13 April 2025 and the outdoor pool was very cold but isn't a lot worse than a lot of UK leisure centre swimming pools.  You may hear a bit of noise from drunk guests or locals but my son is a light sleeper and slept through everything. The hotel is huge and a bit of a maze! The gentleman who greeted us was helpful in marking out areas on the paper map when we arrived but being shown to our rooms would have reduced stress levels a lot. We were very happy overall and would definitely recommend the place and the amazing hard working staff who are excellent 

Hotel location is very good just 5 min from the beach and 7min from city centre where is full of restaurants and bars. Hotel room is clean have good air condition but no fridge inside which disappointed me. You must rent all cups and plates for pool area for 1 euro which is too much for all inclusive hotel. Food was disgusting, eggs looks like were cooked year ago meet dry and awful taste and thin fish tastes like expired and was so dry too very small variety of food and same every day. We had food poisoning we were vomit all night after our first day in hotel was so awful horrible. Also lots of people we met complained they vomit too and go to emergency there said them same like us food poisoning and i also heard in the hall a lady vomit in her room so loud and and painful. Don’t eat the food all inclusive if you don’t want to go to emergency all hotel was sick vomit from food poisoning. Will never come back there.
