Robinson Cala Serena

Had one of the best stays for my mother’s in laws birthday on Mallorca and the team contributed massively to a great celebration. The team arround Tina, Natalie and Julia did a great job and helped us organise everything, ranging from a seperate dining spot, to a pre celebration and a lot of attention. We felt very welcome and looked after during the entire stay and enjoyed every single second. The food and service is amzing and highly recommendable for single, families and everyone who wants to have a great holiday.

I spent one week with my wife ende of June 24. Below some feedback: We spent a wonderful vacation in Mallorca at cala serena The location of the club is marvellous - the bay cala serena really awesome, besides some jelly fish. (minor) Location/Housing: We were at the housing near the diving center. The house was very modern and of high quality. We felt perfect and it was a nice stay. The soft mattress was exchanged by a harder one without complaints. The room service was perfect and the room was clean. Very quite location - perfect sleep. The village resembles a genuine small village in Mallorca. Very stylish and nice- not like a big hotel. The wellness house is also spacious and modern. The beach is small and the relaxing chairs were on top of the rock to overlook the bay. Really a special place. The Food was perfect, especially for so many guests. The coffee was a dream ! A small village cala d'or is nearby and offers a strolling in the evening. Public Bus services are available to get out of the club or a motorbike/car rental agency is nearby. Sports Arena: The Sports arena is spacious and offers many sports. I loved the tennis, beach volley. The cycling services could be improved, e.g. half day rent. Entertainment: The EM Football tournament was going on, so little other evening entertainment was offered. A live band to dance every evening would be nice. The shows were really a nice try, but not professional enough for a Robinson club. The diving center is nice and Armin does a great job (we did a snorkling tour) Staff: All staff members very friendly and helpful in any way. Improvement areas: For a Robinson Club, I expect at least the non-alcoholic, beer, housewine beverages to be included. Compared to other Robinson clubs this seems to be too picky. The entertainment in the evening need improvement for a Robinson club. I love Sports and Football, but some live Music would be nice. Overall: Cala Serena Robinson was a nice stay, but regarding the price/service ratio, I can only rate a 4 star. I know the European cost structure is different than for instance a Robinson Nobilis in Belek, but please include more service in the price, and raise the total cost if needed. As a guest I love an all inclusive arrangement and don't wanna pay 15 Euros for 4 Tennis balls. I hope you understand. The hotel director(s) very friendly and helpful as well. It seems they are taking care of the staff - great ! We loved the stay and eventually will come again. Regards p.s. I always try to give an honest and transparent feedback ;-)

Amazing resort, brilliant helpful staff, great food including lots of gluten free options (great allergen labelling), beautiful location - 10/10. Most people are German at the resort, so is being from the UK it was nice not to hear English voices for a while!

Fabulous resort and amazing staff. Didn’t have chance to take advantage of all the sports but thoroughly enjoyed my swims. Food and drink varied and delicious. Business facilities very comfortable and we were exceptionally well looked after.

Facilities are okay, could be better as old. Friendly service from reception, restaurant and overall. Tennis courts good but mostly outside and 2 tents without air conditioning. Tennis Trainer (head coach) not good at all, young and not experienced as a trainer. Needs to learn how interact with clients. Other trainers there were good.

Overall good club but lacked the Robinson atmosphere in comparison to other clubs. We've been to 3 other clubs so far and this one in Mallorca was good but ranks last in comparison with the other 3 in our eyes. Quality of everything is good, the grounds are well maintained and taken care of, all local staff was very nice and friendly, the German staff (Robys) were less engaged and caring (just like uninterested teenagers, lol). You could see the manager was around the whole time, greeting people, having that Robinson vibe, but the junior staff was clearly just at a summer job. Except of the lady handing out beach towels, she was clearly the entertainer and sparkle of fun. Food was OK, good selection and quality, fresh and all but just lacked that wow factor. Tastes were ok but a little bland, didn't have that punch, didn't make you feel like "oh boy, this chocolate cake is really great". You still eat it but can't justify to yourself that the calories were totally worth it, if you know what I mean ;) I hit the gym in here more than in any other club. Speaking of sports, the fitness program was not as broad and appealing like in other clubs, so I mostly used the gym rather than classes. Gym was well equipped and very good (though I would put more notices to clean the equipment after yourself. It's not the club, it's the users who seem to forget the gym etiquette - make it nicer for the person after you and wipe clean the equipment you've just used). Swimming pools were nice and big, though rather cold at this time of the year, so the swimming was rather a quick mandatory dip than pure enjoyment. Room was good and spacious but didn't have enough electrical sockets. We had a sleeping medical aid and asked for an extension cord at the reception to put it closer to bed but didn't get one. It's not a minus point cause I get that such request is not a standard one. Small feedback would be for the reception to give us a little follow up and say that they won't be able to provode it. They had our room number, so a little note would have been a nice touch that they remembered about us and tried. The Tchibo coffee machine was broken on arrival, we asked reception 3 times to fix it, they finally did after 2 days but it starter blinking all lights again the next day. Most likely just needed a good descaling. Shower has a see-through window to the room, so it's OK if you're a couple but could be a bit awkward in other circumstances. Water pressure was good, bathroom was comfortably big. Beds were comfy and slept well. Airco worked at the beginning, after a few days with heavy thunders the airco stopped working well, the fan was still on but not cooling. It was just a little uncomfortable but not too bad. WiFi had good and bad moments but I saw the club was trying to fix it with a technician. House keeping always kind and smiling, doing a good job, so very grateful to them for their work.
