HYB Eurocalas

Great holiday overall. Group of 13 of us with 7 children stayed for 10 days. The room was spacious, in need of some tlc but fit our needs. If you have kids there is diney channel in English which was helpful for us whilst getting ready for the evening. Shampoo, conditioner and hand soap provided. Our room had 2 balcony's one with a pool view, one with a sea view. The pools were fab. The kids loved the slides. We didn't use the quiet pool but the other 2 main pools were great, music played and the snack bar open which served nuggets, chips, pizza, hitdogs and burgers. Fruit and ice cream. With a help yourself area to beer, water, pop or slush. There were plenty of sunbeds. It wasn't a fight to get a space or a bed and we didn't reserve any in the morning and still had no trouble getting a spot. They are currently building a new pirate theme splash area too. The entertainment was good. Cecila was very friendly and approachable and I'd say the best of the group, some of them didn't interact with us at all and we were a group with 7 children so youd think they would approach a family with a group of children. Activities running for adults and kids throughout the day. We have had better entertainment elsewhere but I'm not sure if the lack of enthusiastic from staff was down to it being end of season. Evening entertainment was hit and miss, the nights external acts were put on were amazing. They dont hire any mediocre drap acts, all were amazing. Nights where hotel staff provided the entertainment where ok. Which is why I say hit and miss. Again not sure if it was because of end of season and staff coming to the end of their year. Lolo the mascot was a hit with my youngest she lit up when lolo came out at the end of mini disco. The restaurant was well maintained and clean. Staff were unbelievable. Friendly, working very hard. Couldn't fault any of them. Lovely people. There was a chef who would pass kiddies a sweetie from his serving area. The food was OK. Some was lovely others was horrible. It was a different theme each night but alot of repetition. Breakfast was the same each day and we got sick of it a few days in. Lunch we mainly stuck to the pool bar for as it was better for the children and tea as I said was a different theme each night. The pizzas there are probably the best pizza we have ever had. However some options were very poor example, the mash was just a slop of smash. Deserts were OK, plenty to chose from but all pretty much the same in taste. Great option of ice cream, bowls or cones. The bar - them guys work their backsides off behind there. Some come straight from the restaurant and start a shift on the bar and work all night. Then you see the same face again first thing in a morning. They work long days and we're always friendly and smiley. Definitely have to commend the staff. The lager is San Miguel. So winner winner. Loud restaurant to the point when you cannot have a conversation. Broken electric, waterleak from celing when its raining and rats are some of the things to expirience here. Food is very basic. Staffa except management is exeprional. Close to beach.

After reading reviews about bad food and rooms not being clean and lots of other things I was worried that we may not have the holiday we were hoping for. However it was brilliant! I can’t see any issue with the food there was always loads of choices and it was replenished frequently. People claim the Restaurant gets busy but you’re in a big resort in the middle of the school holidays? Why are you surprised? We never waited more than a couple of minutes to get a table and most of the time walked straight in and got a table straight away. Rooms were always clean and towels replenished. All in all there’s only 2 small gripes from me, the BBQ on the Thursday night was not great, food was left out quite a while and the selection of meats there although good i didn’t eat most of what was out BUT that’s a personal taste and not the hotels issue as I’m sure somebody else would say the choice of meats was great. Biggest thing that was annoying for me was the sun bed situation, although it clearly states sun beds can’t be reserved there was towels down from 6.30-7 am, not only this but ground workers and staff were helping people move sun beds around to where they wanted them leaving the signs redundant. I found myself then having to do the same and get up early to put towels down just so my 3 small children had somewhere in the shade to sit otherwise it was a sun bed or the grass in direct sunlight all day. I didn’t mind doing it but I’d suggest taking the signs away that day you can’t because no one is sticking to this. However that did not take away from how much of a brilliant time we had there it really was amazing, we’re all ready looking to come back next year.

The staff are ABSOLUTELY amazing.. bar staff are great fun and take the time to have fun with the kids.. animation team was fantastic so energetic and also great with the kids.. the on site photographers where so friendly and really took time to talk to you.. restaurant staff were great too they took the time to have fun with the kids my daughter made friends with a lady in the restaurant and every night they would play Little games of pinch the ice cream .. cleaning staff where a little rude at times but the other staff more than made up for this.. splash park was great fun for both adults and kids..the pools where kept clean and well staffed with life guards.. food was very good and there was always plenty to choose from.. they never ran out of anything.. honestly we had an amazing time and can't wait to return ❤️

We recently stayed at HYB Eurocalas for 10 days. Overall for a family hotel it’s good there’s loads to do for the kids during the day and night.but there were a lot of aspects that let it down and we wouldn’t want to return. I have broken down each aspect below: Hotel: the hotel was overall clean and very large its broken down into different buildings. We stayed in the Menorca building. The communal area near the bar was nice ve to have a sit down and a coffee before dinner as well. Reception are was always clean as well. Communal toilets not matter what time of day the floor was always really wet in the outside toilets and tissue was always on the floor or no toilet roll. Often found men in the females toilets as well. Staff: The staff are hit and miss with not a lot of them I could name because we found them quite rude. We always greeted in Spanish and spoke was Spanish we knew to them as well. There’s only a few bar tenders/ bar waiters that were amazing but I didn’t catch their name badge and they do work really hard. But apart from that the staff at this hotel were no where near comparable to previous hotels we have stayed in. I reception staff were okay but found a few that weren’t very nice. Laura was lovely and always had a smile. I had to go down to reception during the night and found a couple that had not long arrived and needed some milk for their small child and they were of no help or didn’t want to help. And even asked if there was a shop they could go to but due to the time they were all closed. I’m sure if they really wanted to they would have been able to provide milk. Entertainment team/ night entertainment: We found that most of the entertainment team only spoke to the same family’s and didn’t venture from them. They did a great job during the day with activities for the children and family’s my son enjoyed the water platform that they had to run on. The entertainment was a mix of external and internal. The external acts were amazing we really enjoyed the take that act. The twins and the father and daughter act. We weren’t really a fan of the abba2nite act. Internal acts were karaoke and mr Eurocalas on our first week it was just men and the second time around women volunteered I think this should be a lot more inclusive and not just ‘mr ‘ Eurocalas. Tables for the evening entertainment tables were full up come 9:45 ish. As a warning they play exploit versions of songs which lead to a lot of children swearing which we were not fans off. This should be changed to clean versions. Room: our room was fine and as advertised and the room was lovely we was on floor 8 and our view was amazing! The shower wet the bathroom floor though and there was nothing we could do to stop this. The fridge in the room doesn’t get very cold either. We put a large water bottle in there for it to get cold and it could even manage that. The beds were very uncomfortable as well it felt like we were sleeping on something made of cardboard/

What a disgrace of a hotel … the room stinks when we first enter it … it so such a disgrace to Welcome your guest in this manner… the shower leaking in the bathroom the flooring had gaps between the planks… mould build up on the ceiling … absolutely disgusting and disgraceful place …food same every day and I could eat frozen meals home too don’t have to pay for all inclusive… I would not recommend this hotel to any of my family or friends… just avoid it …beach transfer in a hotel of a probably 1000 people Made with a 8 people bus … not again here never
