I can’t say enough about how unbelievable this experience was. The grounds of the property are insane, from the wrap around view of the river, the natural pool, the numerous places to relax and beautiful interiors, it’s all amazing! The staff are phenomenal and even offered laundry service to have our clothes ready to go by early the next morning! Dinner and breakfast were excellent! If you are visiting the area or walking the Camiño this is a must stay!!

Everything about this hotel was exceptional. It is a top recommendation for a stop on the Camino. The meals were amazing and the staff were incredibly friendly. The accommodations were hands down the best I experienced on the Camino. Beautiful place.

We stayed at many parador’s and higher end hotels over 2 weeks..but this was bar none the best, service, location, view, property, cozy room, windows, balconies , grounds were breathtaking, cold plunge in the river fed pool, the great care at dinner and breakfast..wow wish we could’ve been here longer..so peaceful.. we slept in and lingered after everyone else left.. didn’t want to go. Absolutely stunning property w stone walls, hydrangeas everywhere, delightful staff.. modern conveniences but so respectful for the past, only place we stayed w proper plugs by the most comfortable bed. Fresh flower in the bath..no detail was over looked . Whoever owns and manages this property should be commended..it’s a special gem!

We stayed for one night while walking the Camino. This place is incredible! The grounds are stunning -with beauty at every turn. We swam in the majestic pool and let the waterfalls crash into our tired bodies. Our room was nice and dinner and breakfast were good and in a beautiful atmosphere. When we talk about amazing places we have been, this definitely ranks high on our list. One night was not enough - We definitely want to return soon!

This place is a “wow, wow, wow!” The beautiful spots indoors and out go on and on. The river wraps around three sides and right through the property to fill the pool and it sounds powerful and relaxing at the same time. The ruined building in the middle lends rich history, the updated but not modern hotel building gives you 5 star comfort and beauty. The service has been impeccable. I don’t want to leave! I feel my childhood princess dreams have grown up and been realized here.

It’s almost impossible to describe how wonderfully this hotel is located. The river runs through the grounds - literally through the little pool as well - and the birdlife, hum of the water, and general feeling of relaxation, is everywhere. Our top floor room, Begonia, had great views on two sides, had a great bed, and large well equipped bathroom. The simply cooked evening meals were included, small choice but superb quality. Service was excellent - Marania was so attentive and helpful - and the breakfast choice in a homely room was superb. Value for money exceptional, and a place we will always remember and treasure.

We visited this hotel during our Camino Portuguese trek to Santiago de Compostela and left very impressed with the location, facilities, service and food. The hotel is full of charm and beauty. The food and service was outstanding. But beware the water in the pool Is very cold, since it is from the river that runs by..

The facilities of this hotel are just beautiful. Every room is very quaint. The seating areas in the living room and dining room are very nice. The service for food, especially breakfast, and lunch, were very nice. Our service at dinner was not so good, but I think it was just from the particular waitress we had. She was young and didn’t care. This hotel is so beautiful that is worth staying there. They have a lovely swimming pool but it’s really so cold that you can’t go in. There’s a beautiful waterfall that feeds the swimming pool.

As I was walking the Camino, I received a very poorly written email stating that there was only one room available of my two room reservation that I had made five months in advance. The excuse made was a system problem. Very difficult to have to stop during my relaxing Camino to make a new reservation. I thought it was important for those of you who need an assurance that when you make a reservation, it will be honored.
