Apartamentos Villa Florida

We arrived at 11am after travelling through the night we were tired, we got a lovely greeting from reception and also they gave us our keys several hours early as the room was ready which was a blessing.. our room was great, clean and spacious with a lovely little outdoor patio area. We were right near the pool, which was very clean and they kept the gates closed until 10 am. There definitely aren’t enough sun beds for everyone so I wouldn’t stay in peak season however we did manage to get one this week which was very nice. It’s a gated block so very good on security it does feel safe. I would definitely return again for a weeks winter sun.

Average apartments with a good central location. Well equipped but smelt of sewerage and was quite damp. Check in and out was easy and straightforward. Pool area nice but not enough sunbeds. Pool lovely and warm. It's very quiet and if you like to enjoy yourselves, chat, laugh... basically what people do when on holiday...then don't sit around this pool. You will be told off, frowned at and tutted at. Silence at all times is required! Also the life guard can be equally as funny...e.g.. if you put rubbish in the bins - maybe as it was a crisp packet that was bought from outside the bar? Who knows...but the whole vibe around the pool is intimidating. The bar man really lets this complex down. He is rude, he's a bully, he's aggressive and changes his prices every day. 'Happy Hour' is a joke. Avoid him at all costs. His bar is unfriendly and unwelcoming. I would return to Villa Florida tomorrow if the bar man wasn't there.

Another great stay at Villa Florida. Having read some bad reviews, I would like to write one also. Although this was our 6th stay here, we found as per no issues. The pool and surrounding walk ways were cleaned daily, I image that the review saying the pool never got cleaned was because they were not up earlier enough to witness it happen! Everyday the pool was cleaned and walkways mopped first thing in the morning. Cleaners call every other day. The rooms are basic, but clean. We had everything we needed. We had a large bottle.of coke explode in the fridge, within 10 mins a cleaner arrived to clean up the mess and a new fridge fitted. Service was 100% and with a smile. Gino the owner of the pool bar who is NOT employed by Villa Florida was as always the perfect host, The food he cooked for us was sublime, he made up by our request tuna steak and a pasta dish which was exquisite and great value. His flavours are as good as any restaurant. I think that due to us returning year after year, and having rebooted for May 2025 and Jan 2026 is testament enough.

The hotel and reception staff/cleaners were lovely. Rooms very nice and clean and sunny balcony. PLEASE AVOID the bar around the pool as the bar man is so rude and horrible. He rings a bell at 3-4 pm ‘happy hour’. Supposed to be 2 drinks for the price of one. You order your 2 drinks, he makes them and then proceeds to charge you double money. And then when you don’t pay for the drinks because he’s overcharging, he swears at you and shouts in your face. He also spoke to my grandmother absolutely horrific, swearing in her face almost like he was going to physically hurt her. He is not a nice man please avoid.

Once again we found a self catering hotel just up our street. We wanted the choice to eat in or venture out into the resort for a meal. The one bedroom was very spacious. Large living room with table and small kitchen. Large sofa at one end with plenty of room to sit on. Also good size shower room. Can't fault this at all. I would come here again.

Do not stay here at all costs!!! As an ex Thomas Cook employee I feel it is important that one must be honest and positive. However this place is a hell hole. We booked this over a year ago and also visited the establishment a month before we we travelled to request a bright and sunny room. On arrival they wanted us to stay in a dark dingy room and when we complained, they gave us a lovely room , only to be told the next day that we’d have to move out immediately as they gave us the wrong room! Telling to move out straight away and the sheepish manager was not available to speak to was unacceptable. The reception staff started crying and we were left with the option of a room that was dark , dirty and threatened that she’d have to call the police if we didn’t move out. We are three women in our 50’s to 80 years old. I’m disgusted and want to warn all other travellers not to cut costs and ho there. They to say the least we’re disgraceful and threatening. Avoid at all costs! We’ve warned you!
