Smy Tahona Fuerteventura

The accommodation needs updating and needs TLC until they get round to it. It is very clean, staff are friendly and happy to help. where we had fridge and kettle need to have double plug, they was quick and gave me a extension lead to use both together. it a shame bar inside not opened as we had windy nights and we was sat pool bar with patio heaters on which i didnt do. Lovely that in your accommodation you are told about put your towels down around the pool, that they get removed if not being used so no blocking sunbeds. could do with some paperwork for you to keep on your visit on what time you choice for meals and also what time snacks available on the all inclusive. It a lovely touch that you get a towel for you to use at the pool i not been to hotel that gives you them.. Food is good for a 3star only thing would be a problem in higher season is only 1 toaster in dining room. I full enjoyed my stay here. I would stay here again.. YOU ALL SHOULD BE PROUD OF YOURSELF XX I know people have put about road outside but the hotel can not be held responsible for this as it down to council..

Visited here as a last minute booking with my partner and two children aged 7 and 18 months. Children - it is not a child oriented hotel. The daily mini club consists of tables and chairs, colouring ( although the pencils were mostly blunt & felt tips dried out) and a few basic games that are left outside each day. To keep kids entertained you are reliant on swimming. There is a fresh water pool which at this time of year is very cold. The pool is separated in 3 sections each with different depths - positively the child pool is a great depth for young children, my 18 month old could easily walk around in it. Food- we were all inclusive. The selection of food is small compared to any other all inclusive hotel I have stayed at. I dont necessarily mind this, but there were a few occasions on which I struggled to find anything tasty. Very heavy on pork offerings - pork cooked in various ways was on the menu daily. Rooms/grounds- rooms are spacious but very basic. Limited storage, only a small wardrobe with some shelving and no drawers at all. This is possibly ok if there are two of you in a room, but nowhere near enough for a family. The rooms are in desperate need of upgrading. Pillows flimsy. Room was cleaned daily and fresh towels provided (including beach towels). Staff - very friendly and helpful. Good with the children. Location. - approx 10 minutes walk to the beach and closer to shops and restaurants.

A very good smaller hotel.very clean and friendly staff.apartment very big .only let down was the wifi so the TV would freeze at times and didnt work around the pool area.food was excellent a big choice. We were half board and never went hungry.reception were brill full of information and maps and booking taxis.2min walk to bars and resturants and the promenade. Lots of bars with football and live music .very busy Indian resturant and the end of the street .only thing that spoilt our holiday was the smoking around the pool bar ignorant people just plonking down and sparking up with no thought for anybody else the hotel could do with a smoking area also the rooms were non smoking and reception and the resturant. Hotel set in a clean area there's a woman's hairdresser 2mins along the road and a mens 5 mins the oppisite way .take a light coat or a cardigan it's nippy at night once the sun goes down .thank you all staff 10/10

On 12/21/2024, I checked into the Smy Tahona fuerteventura hotel and was just shocked by the room we were checked into. There was mold on the wall, scraped walls, stains on the floor and dirt. My 15 year old son had to sleep on a couch that didn't fit him, with no bedding. I'm not a picky person and I always travel a lot, but this is the first time I've had such a terrible experience. The reception refused to change the room, even though it was supposed to be a standard suite with a view of the pool, which was not true at all. For the money I paid for this accommodation, I could have had better conditions. I will never come back here and would not recommend it to anyone. And I am sorry that I will spend this Christmas in this terrible hotel.

So on my first night here I read a few reviews whilst I was lay in bed and was absolutely dreading what the stay was going to bring. Just to address some of them: 1. The whole site is absolutely immaculately clean; 2. We found the food lovely at each meal; 3. Our room was in good repair. The bathroom sink was metal so no idea how somebody had a cracked sink; 4. Our shower was more along wet room lines and not over a bath; and 5. I've never once stayed in a hotel where the rooms contain a kitchen area. Now for my opinions, the house keeping staff are honestly high on the list of the nicest people I've ever spoken to! They maintain spectacularly high standards throughout. Nothing was too much trouble for them and everything was done with a smile. The beds were very comfortable though ideally, I'd have been happier if there were spare pillows in the room as I like quite a fluffy pillow. We were in a room with a very good sized seating area, a bedroom and a bathroom. Between those 3 spaces, there were only really 2 'spare' plug sockets. In an ideal world there would be one at each side of the bed and maybe 2 more empty on top of that. They advertise as having a hair dryer in the rooms but they actually mean if you pay a deposit of €2 you can use one. But you must pay in cash. At busy checking in times they have 2 staff members on reception but they both appear to be serving the same person. The dining room and the staff in there is lovely and clean and the staff are polite and professional. It's located centrally to lots of amenities so very handy. The only negative and honestly pretty significant negative, we were in room 223 facing the gym and near the boules area. This means you are NOT going to get a lie in! The gym has huge plate glass windows which open and throughout the day they play very loud 'music' from early doors. I use the term music loosely because it's extremely loud electronic noise with some great music from the 80s with a really loud thudding base line added which sounded exactly like a headache! You can also hear the poolside bar from there but the exhaustion from being woken by the gym means that you can normally sleep through that. However, we both agree that it's the best place we've ever stayed in caleta so definitely worth a visit but bring ear plugs just in case.
