Wonderful stay. Literally a few blocks away from downtown Calistoga. We thoroughly enjoyed being able to walk to everything. Shopping, restaurants, bars, etc.. Staff was gracious and attentive. Robert, the onsite manager, went over and above. Room was outstanding with super comfortable bed. Amazing breakfast every morning. Will definitely return. A very unique and historical property.

This place is magical. Decided to hide away in Calistoga for a night. First time staying at this facility. Spur of the moment booking and Robert easily made it happen. Glad I did...it's an amazing place. Well appointed, fabulous staff, perfect breakfast. I'll be back!

The antidote to stress/anxiety? The Francis House!! Beautiful room, beautiful grounds. Lovely delicious breakfast. They had a recommended list of restaurants. We went to the two favorites of Robert’s, our host. Both excellent. Calistoga a sweet buzzy village. It was a special weekend. The Francis House is the quintessential spot for making memories.

If I could give The Francis House more than 5 stars I would!! This stunningly beautiful B&B is unlike any place we've ever stayed and is absolutely magical from the moment you drive through the gates! Richard and Dina are the most gracious and kind hosts, you feel like you've made new friends by the time your stay is over. They have done such an amazing job restoring and renovating this property that you can't help but feel like you're at a luxurious French chateau. The attention to detail and design in every room of this property is a 10 out of 10!! They truly take care of everything, every last detail of our stay was perfection. They provide a delicious gourmet breakfast daily that was served in their peaceful outdoor dining area and even checked with us before we arrived to ask if we had any dietary restrictions. The grounds are so pretty as well, and we enjoyed their beautiful pool after a fun day of wine tasting and shopping as well as the cozy fire pit. The location is great as well and is within short walking distance to downtown Calistoga. I can't recommend this place enough and we were so sad to leave! Thank you Richard and Dina for your hospitality, The Francis House is a true gem!!

I cannot reiterate nor stress enough just how amazing and special the Francis House is. We stayed here with great friends of ours at the outset of a trip to Napa and Sonoma and could not have had a more amazing stay. Richard, the owner, is an incredible host and amazing conversationalist. He makes you feel like a lifelong friend and is and was incredibly welcoming. Everything is of a first class nature - from the decor, the accommodations, the special touches in the rooms including all amenities. Everything about our stay here was special. I just wish we had an additional night to add to this trip. We will come again on our subsequent trip to Napa and Sonoma and will use this as our “base” of stay the entirety of the next trip over. I cannot rate it high enough!

We had a wonderful stay at the Francis House. It is a beautiful property, the rooms were great, and the owners are amazing! We also had breakfast every morning, and it was fantastic. I would highly recommend staying here for any Napa Valley trip.

We took a weekend away and absolutely loved this place. It was early March and thus a bit cool/wet but we had a wonderful time. Richard and Dina are exceptional hosts and very welcoming. The rooms are updated and chic. You can tell that no expense was spared, and Richard and Dina meticulously care for the property. We were debating between the Four Seasons and here, and definitely made the right choice. Dina made wonderful dinner recommendations/reservations as well as a private tasting in the caves at Chateau Boswell. I can't wait to return...hopefully in warmer weather to use the beautiful pool and tennis court.

Our room was meticulously designed with elegant decor and thoughtful amenities, creating a cozy yet refined space to relax. The pool area and common spaces were just as lovely, offering a peaceful setting to unwind. Being centrally located in Calistoga, The Francis House made it easy to explore nearby wineries and restaurants, yet we found ourselves eager to return to the comfort of the hotel. Richard and Dina’s personalized recommendations for local wineries and dining—shared before we arrived and throughout our stay—were impeccable, adding a truly delightful and thoughtful touch to our experience! This boutique gem is truly a destination in itself—an unforgettable blend of history, hospitality, and elegance. We loved it and look forward to visiting again!

The Francis House is an exceptional place to stay. The owners Dina and Richard have put their heart and soul into creating a wonderful experience for their guest. Every morning I woke up excited to see what wonderful breakfast that Dina had planned. Amazing food! We also enjoyed meeting other guest that were frequent Napa Valley visitors.
