"My friend and I are traveling around France for a couple of weeks. We picked this hotel based on reviews and price. It was a good location to drive to Omaha Beach and the surrounding area. We each had a room with a king size bed, a very large bathroom with a wonderful shower and separate large tub. Free Coffee, tea and water provided in the room and a small refrigerator with snacks and drinks available at a modest price. Beds were very comfortable and room temp was great. Very quiet location and free parking. The best thing was Julia, the front desk staff person. Extraordinary service and assistance with everything we needed including ordering Thai food from a local restaurant because the restaurant was closed on Sunday night and Monday night, the two nights we were there. She deserves a GIANT Thank You and a Gold Star! I would definitely stay there again if I ever return to France."

"Vilken fantastisk och minnesvärd vistelse.Vi var välkomna av Arnold och Leo när vi anlände, som var snabba att ta hand om våra väskor, parkera vår bil och ta oss på en tur på fastigheten. Vi hade en underbar juniorsuite med en fredlig utsikt över baksidan av fastigheten och in i skogen. Rummet var mycket stort och vackert, och inredningen var vacker, tillsatt till äktheten, med tanke på att slottet byggdes i 1800-talet.Bädden var också mycket bekväm.Badrummet är perfekt, stor dusch och stor toalett. Det hade alla de förnödenheter vi behövde.Vi njöt av att rida cyklarna runt fastigheten och genom skogen.Höghet födde de två bosatta hjortarna.Frukost var läckra. Mycket en mängd färska betesmarker, frukt, yoghurt, hus gjorde granola, ost, rökt lax, ägg, sallad, potatis.De hade till och med några glutenfria granola och betesmarker. Det finns också lösblad te tillgängligt hela dagen i lobbyn, samt filtrerat vatten.Frukostservice var underbar.All personal är mycket snäll och mycket uppmärksam.Egendomen tar dig tillbaka i tid. Det är ganska magiskt att gå runt det slutar att uppleva synen på det som du kör in särskilt på natten.Det är en snabb körning till staden Bayeux, och ganska bekvämt att besöka D-Day-platserna.Högt rekommenderar det. Och tack så mycket till Leo och Arnold och frukostpersonalen för att de gjorde detta en så underbar upplevelse."

Det är tio minuter att köra på Normandie Beach."

"We booked here as the gîte we had booked was uninhabitable . The staff were healpful and very pleasant throughout our stay . The room and beds were comfortable and clean. Ideally situated for vire and the northern coast . Tea and coffee were provided ( unusual in France hotels ) Although near a road there was little noise Ideal for a short stay .Price was value for money ."

"The location and condition of the hotel itself were good, but one thing that happened after check out left me very disappointed with the hotel room management and service. We accidentally left two pairs of shoes in room 501 on the day of check-out, and the shoes were packed in a red Maxim paper bag. I found out just a few hours after checking out and immediately called the hotel and then emailed with very specific messages including room number, items and packaging. But the hotel replied that it was not found. What makes me particularly difficult to understand is that when we stayed in room 501, we found a pair of old shoes left by the previous guests in the closet, which seemed to have been there for a long time. This in itself made me wonder whether the hotel's housekeeping would carefully check the closet and other places. We reported missing two pairs of shoes only a few hours after we checked out, but we didn't find them. As we were leaving France for Italy soon, it was difficult to send even if found, so I did not continue to ask the hotel to find it. Two pairs of shoes are not very valuable items in themselves, but the whole experience left me very disappointed with the hotel's housekeeping and the lost property management. For a hotel of this grade, I think guests should be able to expect more serious, reliable room inspections and lost property management."

"A really lovely venue and perfect location for touring the Beach Landings and surrounding countryside. Charming host. Just be aware that there are no restaurants in the village. A taxi to the nearest can cost up to €70 each way, depending on which major city they come from to collect you. Uber would be cheaper if you can get them to accept the fare, we couldn't. Fortunately, a young couple on the next table drove us for nothing ! (We dropped flowers to them the next day and we're still quids in !). Excellent breakfast. 😁"

"Fabulous stay! Many folks stay in Bayeau when visiting the beaches of Normandy but Caen is less touristy! This small boutique hotel is not far from the beaches and offers a glimpse of local life. Hotel staff is friendly and rooms are clean! Hotel is very quiet. The only thing that wakes you up is the birds! Rooms are not air conditioned but windows open and they provide fans. We stayed in a family room that was perfect for three! Twin bed in one room and queen in the other. Nice sitting area with great selection of drinks in the mini fridge. Wonderful breakfast too! Relaxing atmosphere!"
