The Red Lion is a pub with four rooms in a separate building a short walk from the back door of the pub. Our room was in excellent condition and very clean. It appears that it may recently have been completely remodeled/renovated as the carpet appeared to be brand new; and everything else was in tiptop shape. The Red Lion is very convenient to Cambridge and located in a little shopping/market area surrounded by residential housing. We arrived too late for a meal but enjoyed drinks in the pub - there is also a nice green with picnic tables out back where many were enjoying drinks. Inside, you could tell this is a neighborhood pub from the friendly conversations and banter and also because for the number of people inside and out, there weren't nearly enough cars out back for the number of people on the premises. There is also a nice bakery across the street providing fresh pastries and other options. I would definitely stay here again if I was in this area.

The pub staff were friendly and welcoming. We were shown to our room and then we sat in the gardens with our 2 dogs and enjoyed very pleasant drinks. After our walk, we had a lovely meal, which was well priced and delicious. The atmosphere in the pub was very pleasant although it was quite busy. The room was spacious. The bed queen sized and very comfortable. The bathroom had a large shower, which was very nice. I don't think there was anything negative about our stay and we have decided to stay again this year but for a longer period of time

Superb, we were very well looked after. The room was clean, tidy (and massive), the food was ace and all the management and staff were bright and friendly. The garden is lovely. Will definitely stay again soon when I am next up that way for work.

I stayed here while my wife was having surgery close by. I could not fault any part of it - the staff were very welcoming, the food was good, and the room was very well equipped. The location for me was absolutely perfect, and although there was not a breakfast option available, this lended well to the local cafes in the area which i enjoyed fully.

Lovely stay at the Red Lion. Comfortable and cosy room with all the facilities needed. The rooms are set away from the pub and we found were quiet. The only downside was that the room could do with a thorough dust. We ate in the pub on 2 nights and the food was excellent. The pub itself had a good friendly feel to it. Would definitely stay there again.

The room was comfortable and spacious. The young lady who checked us in was friendly and helpful. Being so close to amenities such as the adjacent pub and a nearby restaurant was very convenient. The close proximity to Cambridge was also a plus.

Excellent room in an annex, so very quiet, clean, plenty of wardrobe/drawer space. King size bed and walk in shower. No breakfast available but plenty of nearby cafes in Histon and a Tesco Express opposite tThree he pub. The pub staff were friendly and helpful. Pub does good pub style food. Good bus service/park and ride into Cambridge. An enjoyable stay at a reasonable price

What a lovely room, tucked behind the beer garden and lovely and private ( and quiet) great facilities at a fabulous price. The fact we could park so close was a bonus too. Staff could not have done any more for us and we were well looked after. We will be back!

I was allowed to check in early and had an extra guest with me who was not on my booking. No problem whatsoever. The staff were absolutely brilliant. Lovely comfortable room. The under floor heating in the bathroom was awesome. One little word of warning though, the heated towel rail gets VERY hot. Tea and coffee provided along with fresh milk rather than the usual uht stuff. Lovely touch. Bed Lovely and comfortable. No complaints whatsoever ❤️

We went to the Red Lion purely because it suited regarding location. We were actually attending a funeral with family from that area! We were VERY pleasantly surprised by the room. It was spacious and had everything we needed. The bathroom was huge! It was perfect for us. We only stayed one night but, for someone who wanted to explore the area, it is a great place to stay. It was also very good value for money.

A really comfortable room, plenty of room. Very big bathroom with a lovely shower. I would definitely recommend a stay here, I’m sorry I only stayed one night, certainly wished it had been longer. I didn’t have breakfast , but had dinner in the pub the previous evening, that was also excellent

Nice warm room, with under floor heating in the spacious bathroom. Good selection of coffees and teas. Very large comfortable bed. Only issue was the entrance door to our room was hard to open, probably swollen with all the wet weather. Food in the pub is good quality.

Arrived New Years Eve for a two night stay. Check in was easy & we were taken to our room in the grounds. Every thing that you need in the room. Had a great dinner the first night from a well planned menu. All staff very tentative & friendly. Would thoroughly recommend.

Would recommend a stay at the Red Lion. The purpose built rooms are tucked away in the garden and nice and quiet. Good shower, nice facilities - and the pub lunch - ham, egg and chips was great. No breakfast with the room however it’s convenient to have a Tesco opposite, along with a cafe 1 min walk away. Handy key safe means a quick check-out. There was also room in the pub car park for a couple more cars. Would stay again.
