Very good service and the owner was also helpful from day one. Great ocean view from the bar and decent menu too. Great atmosphere and we had a wonderful time. No complaints. Would come again.

This place is so lovely in every way. Will 100% stay again and recommend to everyone I know. It’s one of the best stays I’ve had in Southeast Asia. Really special and the staff and ownership are excellent aside from the amazing accommodations and property itself.

Im in love with the place. Literally! It's a perfect place to think and meditate and to be alone.

Awesome dive operation! Professional, clean, safe and fun. Comfortable, large new boat. Exceptional guides. Good prices. Nitrox available. They went out of their way to take us to different dive sites. They even picked us up and delivered us from our lodging.

Balai sa Baibai in Camiguin was an amazing experience. I stayed there from the 7th till the 16th of January. Made 15 dives, had a massage and made a very special culinary journey. Balai sa Baibai is picturesque, intimate and has a great staff and team. Very hospitable and really focussed on giving you the best experience possible. The food is super. When you book half board you get to decide every day what your 3 course dinner is going to be. Every day with a certain theme, like local dishes, international or Italian or French cuisine. The dives were also special. A professional and helpful team. The guides base the selection of the dive site(s) not only on weather and such but also on what you enjoy most. Corals, macro, frogfishes, etc. Great rooms with all the facilities you need. No complaints and nothing extra to wish for. I have had a great time, Ron

Perfect week staying in this lovely little gem. From the moment I arrived the service was great, always with a smile from the staff and the owners who were always onsite went over and above (thanks for specially ordering the zero% beer). The food was top rated and the 5 course Christmas meal that we shared together was stunning. This place has a real family feel to it. The rooms and facilities match the top service. The onsite dive centre Coraya Divers is also top rated, I completed 12 dives. I highly recommend this little gem.

We visited for breakfast, it was highly reccomended which is why the disappointment was felt more keenly. The ambience, entrance to the place breathtaking. However the food was just awful. There was a power cut that day and I don't know if that was the reason for the chaos in the kitchen. It was slow to get food and then when you did the bacon was burnt, eggs overdone, juice not available. At 450 pesos a meal you expect quality and this was sorely lacking on this occasion. I was so upset by how terrible the food was I just wanted to leave and not argue. Thankfully I had a wonderful experience the next day going just out the road to Abang Eatery where we had full local meals and fresh watermelon, 4 meals for 400 pesos and the quality was on point. I hope the owner addresses this and knows that this review is not meant to be malicious rather a statement of the disappointing experience at her establishment.

While staying with friends on Camiguin Island, Philippines, we visited Balai sa Bai Bai (The House on the Beach) outside Mambajao for sunset drinks on their beachside viewing platform; followed by dinner in the charming open air dining room, set above calming water pools. It was delightful. We were met by the Swiss owners Alessandra and Roman who supervised everything throughout. The sunset was superb, and dinner and drinks excellent. As well as the hotel, their main business is scuba diving, which we didn’t do - but judging by the owner’s charm and attention to detail, and comments from resident guests who were dining, they are very good at that too. Highly recommended for a romantic stay.

When planning my Camiguin trip, one place stood out on where to stay. Balai is just a few kms. from the town proper and the airport and is suitably located near restaurants as well as to the boats for White Island. I loved the place -- small but secluded, clean, tastefully designed and quiet as its far from the Circumferential Road. The reception staff headed by Rachel was very attentive and helpful as she led and oriented us to our villa. I also had a chance to meet one of the owners Alessandra on the day of our check out. Our villa was spacious and comfy with a strong AC (to counter the summer heat) and of course a delightful private pool. Really enjoyed a night swim with a bright half-moon overhead. Breakfast was a choice of 3 set menus. They had a poolside bar and a restaurant where we did not avail as we opted for outside recommendations. I would definitely and highly recommend this boutique resort especially to honeymooners and couples who are into scuba diving as Alessandra and her hubby are into this activity. I'm sure they'll have a lot to share on this.

We tried 2 rooms on different days.. the pool view room is fine but can get noisy as you can hear the conversations in the adjacent room, the staffhouse and pool/restaurant. We tried the private villa w/ the dipping pool and experience was great. the resort gives us the Bali vibe. Would stay here again.

Yes, that is how you will feel after staying in the intimate guest house environment created by Roman and Alessandra. This world-travelled couple understand escape, intimacy, and romance, and for this busy professional who was long, long overdue to disconnect and relax, it was the perfect place. They have assembled an amazing and attentive staff, and there are professional masseuse services available for you to indulge yourself. If you are a diver, Roman is your guy, and cocktails near the shore would be a wonderful way to end your day. The menu offerings for breakfast and dinner are all delicious. Make sure to pay attention to the specials board to not miss out on anything. My fiancé and I stayed in a small cottage unit with a small, private pool that was amazing, sensual, and so relaxing. You won’t regret your stay.

I went on a bachelorette trip with a few friends. The accommodations were clean, the staff was the friendliest, and went above and beyond— including the owners to ensure we were able to do what we had planned for the bride. The food was delicious. Despite some rain, Camiguin is beautiful.
