After a bit of a mistake in a previous booking (pretty grim and will remain nameless) we frantically searched for something as an alternative for our week long stay in this area of France. Hence stumbling onto this wonderful hotel. Located at the very edge of the pretty sea-side town of Cancale, Le Manoir is tucked away off the road to St Malo, next to an equestrian school. And it is GORGEOUS. We arrived a little early and were greeted by one of the owners, Damien, who had been cleaning rooms and was as welcoming as you could ever want. He showed us up to our room (look at the photos from others) and we felt immediately relaxed. I say again, the whole place is so lovely, welcoming and relaxed. It is obviously the passion project of Damien and Emily who have thrown themselves into making it a special place. It’s also worth noting that the breakfast is one of the best ever. Buffet and beautiful. All that you would expect, but the quality is outstanding. The best croissants, creamy scrambled eggs, freshly baked bread, local cheese and they’ve clearly got a great relationship with a local patisserie as there was some lovely sweet treats going as well. This hotel deserves every success and I hope that it thrives. We shall certainly be back as I cannot imagine finding anything better. Thank you Damien and Emily. You made our holiday something very memorable.

Yoan welcomed us warmly and had been kind to make advance reservations for us at our favorite restaurants in Cancale and Dinan. Our room was spacious and comfortable, though the bed linens seemed a bit rough to the touch this year. The bathroom was well-appointed, and the heater worked well, which was good to have with the large open shower. Breakfast offerings included bread, cakes, pastries, meats, cheeses, fruit, yogurt, etc., as usual, with eggs available to fry or boil to your liking. Note that the eggs are fresh and uncooked -- several folks, thinking they were soft (or hard) boiled, picked them up to take to their tables. We highly recommend.

This is probably one of the nicest places I have ever stayed in. Everything was jus beautiful and perfect. I truly wish I could have stayed longer, so I can enjoy it more.

We were delighted with the historic property that was quaint and very comfortable to stay. The rooms were well appointed and clean. 100% atmosphere of Brittany. Breakfast option was very nice. Bar was limited but still excellent. Modest pricing Definitely stay there again

What a gem this place is a credit to the owners and staff! We booked a superior room for ourselves and a standard for the kids but were upgraded to 2 superiors, which was a bonus. It’s a quaint old building that has been renovated to a superb standard, our rooms were up a spiral staircase on the first and second floors, which could be an issue for those with mobility issues, but I’m sure they have rooms that are suitable. Breakfast was good with a decent selection. Definitely will stop here again if in the area.

Beautiful setting with ponies nearby. Lovely pool and Jacuzzi. Very handy for Cancale and surrounding area. Highly recommended.

very nice place;-)
Very friendly staff, cute and clean place. Horses near at the field were nice surprise. Hotel does not have food restaurant and because it is on countryside, from there is few miles to places to eat.
But overall very nice place;-)

For a number of years this small, rural, charming hotel on the outskirts of Cancale has been our base for exploring one of our favorite areas in Bretagne. The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped. The showers are open, so we try to be careful to avoid splashing too much on the bathroom floor. Myriam offers a generous array of breakfast items and the opportunity to fry or scramble your own fresh eggs (and ham). The staff are friendly and helpful, and those at reception speak English, for those of us whose French is somewhat limited. Reception is staffed from 3pm for check-in, so when we arrive early, we relax in the central reception area or in the lounge of the Manoir. We highly recommend — and will continue to return.
