Coral Mar Cancun

If you’re looking for a place to relax and make friends, this is the place. You become apart of this great community and they make you feel like family. The rooms are nice and clean, the pool area and all of the grounds are kept clean. The market next door is affordable. The location is a little off but you can be in the mix in a matter of minutes.

We wanted something very relaxing and peaceful. That's exactly what we had! The staff was unbelievable. So helpful. Great location if your looking to get away from the crowds. Perfect for us! We are already planning our next trip there.

Just the right place for us to enjoy Cancun at our own pace. Beautifully maintained property on Pok Ta Pok, so you are not on the ‘*****’, but only a few minutes away: walk&bus/taxi/Uber, etc. Many residents are owners, so you can relax and feel part of a friendly community. All staff are pleasant and very helpful. We love it!!

Unlike most resorts in Cancun, this one is located on the lagoon, not the ocean. While that means no beach for swimming right next to the resort, there are a lot of other aspects of this resort that make up for it: it is at the end of a cul-de-sac, meaning no traffic easy parking (a huge issue in Cancun, no noise). The resort is beautiful and well maintained and the staff is exceptionally nice and helpful (everyone we interacted with, no exceptions).

Ok so here’s the deal. If you’re looking for a big resort with lots of amenities right in the thick of things, do not stay at Coral Mar. BUT if you prefer peace and quiet and chill vibes this place might be perfect. It is immaculately clean, beautiful view of the lagoon and hotel zone, small but nice pool and very accommodating staff. We had a car which made getting around much easier. It is at the end of a dead end road with very little within easy walking distance. But we very much enjoyed the peace and quiet this place offered. Very well appointed kitchen had everything we needed. We just made a couple of trips to the super market to get food for breakfast and drinks and it was perfect! I can’t say enough about how much pride the staff shows in keeping the hotel clean and helping guests with whatever they need.

The resorts bar/restuarant was not operating during our stay and there is next to nothing within walking distance. Dispite this we would recomend staying here for the peace and quiet.It is well run and clean.Even if it has no beach ,there is a lovely pool area and a tiny store next door that has many things for basic survival.

It was a great time at the Coral Mar. Everything exceeded our expectations. The room was immaculate, and it had a great view of the lagoon . We enjoyed the food at Los Chefs restaurant. The staff were all helpful and friendly. I highly recommend Coox Ximba the tour operator at the Coral Mar. Raul and the staff made sure everything was well arranged and the tours were a lot of fun and a great value.

It is what it is. Exactly as their description says. A couple of things to note. This is not a resort. It’s a timeshare condominium with a pool and a restaurant which is operated separately from the restaurant. (The restaurant owners are very nice.) As such, there are really no resort like amenities. There is a first day orientation which I recommend skipping unless you want to use the travel service for excursions. They offer a “free” museum and tequila tasting excursion. I recommend skipping it since it really is a way to get tequila in you in the hopes of selling you tequila and jewelry is a fairly pressured environment. You are an easy taxi ride away from either central Cancun for a more local flair or the hotel zone which is very active. Costs fluctuate during the day from $15 one way for a car to $50 one way for a van in the evening. One very negative. Checkout is 10 and they mean 10 before 10. An extraordinarily odd checkout time and zero chance for a late checkout even with a fee. So bottom line. You have a room, pool, bar(maybe), and a great view. The most positive element is the staff who are all extremely nice.
