Aloft Cancun recensioner

För sammanhanget: Jag har alltid varit ett Aloft-hotellfan och skulle definitivt bo i en av fastigheterna i staden som jag besöker. Det är av denna anledning som jag bokade Aloft Cancun. Dessutom föredrar jag att bo på detta hotell istället för all inclusive-resorterna i hotellzonen i Cancun eftersom jag har fler alternativ att prova de olika matställen som staden har att erbjuda istället för att äta från resortbuffén. Tyvärr uppfyller Aloft Cancun inte mina förväntningar. För det första är personalen i receptionen inte särskilt välkomnande. De är mer intresserade av att upprätthålla husregler "av säkerhetsskäl". En av dessa mycket irriterande husregler är att du måste bära ett ljust neongrönt armband under hela vistelsen (6D5N) och du kan inte ta bort detta förrän du checkar ut. En annan gäst fick en neonrosa färg som han vägrade bära. Så jag var tvungen att bära den här de första dagarna och jag frågade dem om skälen till att bära den här - "Så att de kan kolla och övervaka de människor som får obegränsad drink i den skitbra baren i lobbyn och för säkerheten syften.' Vilken typ av säkerhetssyfte? Något som endast gäller när du är inne i hotellets lokaler. Eftersom jag inte är nöjd med deras förklaring (från receptionen killar) och deras är något nedlåtande. Jag sa till dem att det är värdelöst att bära det här armbandet eftersom jag är mest ute (varför skulle någon stanna inne i sitt rum hela tiden när du är i Cancun), och när jag tar bussen eller besöker stranden eller köpcentret, gör jag det inte vill att andra ska veta att jag bor på Aloft (för min egen säkerhet). Varför skulle andra behöva veta (människor på bussen, på stranden, på köpcentra) att jag är bokad på Aloft? Jag känner att jag är markerad som turist när jag anstränger mig för att smälta in i lokalbefolkningen. Att bo på Aloft Cancun ger dig dessutom inte privilegier när du åker Uber, eller R1/R2-bussen eller handlar i gallerior. Så jag måste förklara detta för killarna i receptionen och de måste motvilligt klippa av det där blodiga handledsbandet. Därifrån gick hela stämningen av att bo på Aloft bara i sjön. Jag betalade för 5 nätter (ingen frukost / EJ ÅTERBETALNING) men jag checkade ut efter 3 nätter och flyttade till ett trevligare och välkomnande hotell i centrala Cancun. Omdöme: Undvik detta hotell. Det har sett bättre dagar och behöver en total uppgradering. Takbaren som var med på deras reklambilder har rensats ut. Du ser bara skalet på vad som såg ut som en bar tidigare. Det finns inga människor vid poolområdet när som helst på dygnet trots att musiken var ok. Och det är förmodligen - de tog bort stången. Jag gick igenom sängkläderna för att kolla efter vägglöss. Tur att det inte finns någon. (Det nämndes i en av recensionerna på Google Maps). Personalen i receptionen kan bli bättre med gästkommunikation. Mycket viktigt för mig som förstagångsresenär till Cancun. Jag delar samma åsikt som den andra recensionen jag läste på Google Map (efter att jag gjort min bokning). :(

Stayed 4 nights. Elevator was wonky all the time. Thermostat did not work in my room, so it was very cold. Slept with my coat on. Had to change rooms.

Terrible place with poor lighting and even worse customer service - avoid at all costs!

A very good hotel, just steps away from the beach. It’s in a prime location! It’s clean and has good service. Highly recommend if you wanna stay in the beach area. The picture I took is from Playa Caracol which is just across the road from the hotel.

Only good thing about this Aloft is the location. They won't store your luggage if you arrive early because they will spent all their affords to get you to pay the $42 to check in early. They make you just sit there in their lobby for hours until check in time. The free bar drinks was super water down. More then likely won't stay here next time in Cancun

The hotel is very close to the market and different shops. But the beach near the hotel wasn't clean. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. The room was a bit dark. The hotel takes the deposit (100 US dollars) when you check-in, it is not convenient.

The management was really nice rooms are okay they are also pet friendly and have a good gym

Love the hotel, the bed, the the room so spacious and clean the only thing I didnt like is the way one of the luggage guys downstairs who I found being very rude the way he treated the arriving guests

Some of front desk staffs and bartenders were not professional. The pillows had a bad smell but housekeeping daily cleaning was good. The location of the hotel was good for everything.

Great location for partying at night. Pretty close to the mall and the beach too.

htl offered unlimited bar drinks and cactails. it was very goods even gave them tips each times and nice taco-house was jut next building (casher bigman was real amigo as opposite than expectation as fullfil with some source etc) the important is delicious to eat there or takeaway^^ ah chedraui also. 2f outside bar was nice

The experience was greatly diminished when the hotel charged $150.00 for the room and key deposits. That was almost equal to the price of my entire stay. This should have been listed in the hotel description. Only stating that additional charges may be charged does not warn of the excessive charge I received. In addition, I am still fighting with them to get part of the deposit back. I travel frequently and this charge was definitely more than most hotels. And obviously, if complaints are not lodged, the deposits are not returned.

Location was great. Close to everything. Service was great. Not all inclusive, only served breakfast, the same things daily. The hotel lobby has a small bar area that served drinks from 11am to 11pm for free. The week we stayed obviously was a bad week. The elevator always reeked of ****. We could not enjoy the pool due to the **** smell and the loud obnoxious music the other hotel guests were playing. Loud guests every night. Had to call the front desk to get them to quiet down one night so we could sleep.
