VERY strong smell of damp/mould in the property. Visibility of black mould on furniture. The extremely strong smell meant I was unable to sleep well and it actually affected my breathing during my stay and for days afterwards. It's actually a health hazard staying here. There was a huge dehumidifier in the kitchen and it had been re-painted recently so the owners know of the issue but still continue accept paying customers. Anything nice about the property is forgotten because of the mould issue. Look at the photos. I would avoid this property!!

We were supposed to stay at the Windmill at the beginning of September and booked it via airbnb. First off, the communication with the hosts were terrible. Even though they provided us with the instructions, it was not easy to get into the property. The road was closed and there's no other access. We called the manager and she told us she was there a long time ago and doesn't remember the area so cannot help us with the directions. Amazing, right? Luckily, we found a police officer and he helped us. Secondly, and this probably the only positive thing about the place. The area is very beautiful. The hydrangea covered road and the ocean view are awesome as well as the mill from the outside. However, the mill surrounding is not private at all. There're several other apartments in the area and all people staying there come to the mill every time to take some pictures. Moreover, even locals sometimes come there. So you cannot feel safe and private there. Here we are approaching the most interesting part which is sad at the same time. The mill inside looks decent (not as pictured, but close to it- I guess pictures were taken more than 10 years ago). The first thing you feel when you enter is an awful super concentrated mildew/mold smell. The wood walls are covered with black mold, the bathroom flooring is damaged, and the upstairs wood walls are destroyed by mold and water. All 3 AC units were covered in mold as well. We opened as many windows as we could to get rid of the smell, but it didn't help. We found another hotel 20 min away (which was not easy since it was Sunday evening and almost everything was booked) and left as soon as we can. I cannot understand all that positive reviews. Especially, the recent ones. Don't those people care about their health at all? Do they just care about their followers and nice pictures? I wish we would know the ugly truth about this place before we paid more than $600 for 2 nights that we eventually spent in another hotel. To sum up- AVOID THIS PLACE AT ANY COST!!!

Moinho das Feteiras ist eine kleine ländliche Ferienanlage, bestehend aus der Mühle und 3 Bungalows. Die Bungalows heißen "Mo de Cima" und "Celeira", sind umgebaute Getreidelager, sowie das "Millers House". Insgesamt haben wir uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt, alles war wunderbar. Ab und an bellt mal ein Hund in der Nachbarschaft, oder eine der anscheinend hauseigenen Katzen macht es sich auf der Terrasse gemütlich, es ist traumhaft ruhig, die Lage ideal, um die Insel zu erkunden. ---------------------------------------- Bungalow Wir bewohnten einen sehr modernen Bungalow (Mo de Cima). Der große Wohnraum ist freundlich gestaltet mit zeitgemäßen Möbeln, einem riesigen Panoramafenster und davor einer traumhaften, sonnigen Terrasse. Von hier überblickt man den Garten und die Mühle weiter unten, und kann perfekte Sonnenuntergänge genießen. Der Küchenbereich ist zwar klein, aber alles, was man braucht, ist vorhanden, inclusive einer kleinen Spülmaschine, Microwelle, Ofen und 2 Induktionskochfeldern. Das Schlafzimmer bietet ein wirklich sehr angenehmes Bett, eingebaute Schränke mit reichlich Platz und verfügt ebenfalls über einen Balkon. Nettes kleines Bad, schöne Walk-In-Dusche, Pflegeprodukte im Spender. --------------------------------------- Service/Frühstück Auch wenn wir in den 7 Tagen unseres Aufenthaltes keinen direkten Kontakt mit den Mitarbeitern hatten (per WhatsApp und telefonisch möglich), gehört zum Service die tägliche Reinigung incl. Handtuchwechsel und das Frühstück, welches jeden Morgen etwa um 8 Uhr geliefert wird. Dieses ist durchaus erfreulich, neben einem Brötchen pro Person gibt es vor allem süßes Gebäck. Dazu wird in vielen kleinen Gläsern Schnittkäse, Frischkäse, Butter und Marmelade / Nutella, Cerealien sowie selbstgemachtes Naturjoghurt geliefert, dazu Obst und Eier - wobei diese roh sind, also man muss sie selber kochen oder braten (gut, wenn man das vorher weiß...). Dazu Milch und Orangensaft. Kapseln für die Nespressomaschine werden ebenfalls immer zur Verfügung gestellt. Möchte man etwas am nächsten Tag nicht haben, streicht man es auf dem mitgelieferten Kärtchen durch, dafür bekommt man dann irgend etwas anderes Nettes. Zu Weihnachten gab es extra noch einen leckeren Kuchen. ---------------------------------- Lage Gelegen etwas außerhalb des Örtchens Feteiras, umgeben von ruhigen Anwohnerstraßen, in einem schönen, gepflegten Garten in Hanglage und mit traumhaftem Blick auf den Atlantik. Neu angelegt wurde ein Pool. Der Zugang zur Anlage ist mit einem Tor gesichert (Code / Fernbedienung), der Parkplatz ist klein, aber ausreichend. Eine der Hauptsehenswürdigkeiten, der Vista do Rei / Sete Cidades, ist von hier aus schnell erreicht. Ponta Delgada ist keine 20 Kilometer entfernt und der kleine Flughafen ist in 10-15 Minuten erreicht. Einkaufen kann fußläufig, etwa 6 Minuten bergan zur Hauptstraße, ist direkt neben der Galp-Tankstelle ein kleinerer Supermarkt, ansonsten in Relva/Arrifes (mit dem Auto 10 Minuten etwa)
