Wuau! Hotel Galanthus & Spa

A great, friendly, professionally run hotel, near to the facilities in Soldeu and the slopes. Couldn’t recommend the hotel and its staff highly enough. It’s rare that hotel staff recognise or even value return customers nowadays. This is one hotel that certainly does.

The location of the hotel is quite away from the main area, about a 15/20 minute walk UP HILL to lifts ect, I would 100% recommend booking minibus at reception to take you to lifts, best to book the day/ morning before. Rooms are warm with good storage spaces for cases and equipment with safe and fridge, beds are good too, and we had a twin room and we separated the beds for our own space, the only down side is that you don't have plugs but the bedsides these are located by the dess/ dresser opposite so not much of a problem. Also rooms have a large window that opens inwards, so if you have kids please keep this in mind as they open right up. Also keep on mind that reception is at top of hotel at level 5 and room, ski lockers and spa are below. Food is at a good standard when it comes to Breakfast, all that you need to start off you're day times are from 07.30 to 09.30 and this is the same for dinner 19.30 to 21.30, but you can still order food throughout the day portions are a good size and not expensive Spa is to a good standard, this you have to book and you have 1 x free pass to this for you stay, after that it's 9 euros per person. Over all a Very good hotel and a good environment, entertainment in evenings from magic to live music that is chilled in the bar area

Perfect base for snowboarding in Soldeu. 15 minute walk to Grandvalira Gondola or free shuttle bus from the hotel. Breakfast and Dinner buffets were great lots of variety. Small fridge in the room for self catering for lunch too. Friendly staff, free access to the gym and 1 free visit to the sauna would definitely stay again!

Highly recommend this hotel. We used it as a base for skiing and no complaints at all. Food (we did H/B) was very good, plenty of choice. The staff are superb, shout outs to the shuttle driver, the bar lady with blond hair & the restaurant staff.

The hotel is located in a beautiful setting, with lovely views from the restaurant. The bedroom was very clean, bedding good quality and bed comfortable. The staff were amazing, very helpful and attentive. Breakfast was fantastic. We ate dinner at a local restaurant on our first night which was a mistake. The food was okay although very overpriced for what we had and service not good. So we ate at the hotel the following night, which was a delicious buffet, and very good value for the choice and quality of food, and staff all lovely. We'll definitely eat in the hotel on our next visit. Spa very good. Would have loved a swimming pool, but the sauna, spa bath and steam room were totally adequate and well appreciated.

We had a 6 night stay - one couple and 2 friends. We all agreed the hotel surpassed our expectations on many levels. The staff were just lovely- friendly, professional, welcoming. Special mentions to Lucia on reception and Nacha in the restaurant, the lady behind the bar, and the bus driver! But honestly, everyone was great. The food was also much better than we thought it would be. We are not natural fans of buffets, but the chef managed to produce varied high quality options every evening. An incredible range of good dishes including salads and things for children. Wine was sensibly priced at 13 euros and up. Breakfasts good too. They provided packed breakfasts if we had an early start. The shuttle bus to and from the slopes worked well, though it is important to pre book your slot. The spa hit the spot, although steam room and jacuzzi were a little cool. Bedrooms, smart and functional. Kettle and fridge provided- but no actual tea, coffee, milk etc. We stayed on ground floor- room 101, which had a sort of balcony, but not really one to sit out on as by the road
