Mec Paestum Hotel

Comfortable hotel. Excellent staff

Arrivati in camera (molto piccola e dislocata in fondo al 1° piano, con vista su tetto, doccia interna alla camera da letto e WC all'ingresso) abbiamo trovato piena di formiche ed insetti, vivi e morti) abbiamo richiesto spiegazioni dato che il personale era conoscenza e avevano sparso la camera e il WC di polverina per uccidere le formiche. Risposta: Non abbiamo al momento altre camere disponibili per un cambio e ci propongono con un cambio di albergo ad un chilometro distante circa PAESTUM INN BEACH RESORTE 4 stelle invece di 5 stelle del MEC PAESTUM o in alternativa ci avrebbero restituito qualcosa. Alla fine abbiamo accettato, anche se la posizione era fuori paese e una tipologia adatta per il mare. Ovviamente non era quello che desideravo e inferiore a quello che ho richiesto e pagato. Nessun rimborso da parte della struttura. Da evitare sicuramente una prossima volta.

Nice beach hotel. We just stayed one night as we wanted to visit the archeological site but regret that we did not extend for a couple of relaxed days on the beach. Nice well furnished rooms. Excellent morning buffet with freshly prepared dishes. Personnel at reception exceptionally friendly. The beach is reached with the hotel shuttle running on demand and well organized with also a good beach restaurant and bar. we will definitely return if we go to the area in the future.

This hotel is not recommended and should be avoided The hotel should be investigated by tourist industry professionals as there was a serious incident involving a minor (twice) in front of witnesses. The hotel did nothing and wanted it all kept quiet, and refused to call the police, shame on them!! As part of a wedding party of 90 guests, this was a real shock for everyone This hotel is not 5 Star Hotel. If you look carefully, it is run down in parts, and in really bad condition, the exterior paint for example, is peeling off the side of the hotel. We had a deluxe room and the bath and shower area had major issues with poor maintenance and looked very tired and grubby. See all photos! Some money has been spent on the exterior with 3 pools and a bar and dining area. However, the bar is on the 1 st floor, away from the pool, there is no free poolside waiter service as there is a charge. They also charge you £3 per person for a pool towel. What 5 star hotel charges guests for pool towels??? There is no tea/coffee machine, and no bath robes in the room, just a pair of plastic flip flops and the room safe is so out of date The balcony door would also not slide open. It was jammed shut the whole stay The hotel is also filled with ridiculous objects too e.g. a badly worn Moschino shoe, snails, ants, gorilla, giraffe and cherries….it is complete design madness The hotel is honestly a 3 star at best….and we know we paid almost double for our room, due to us being wedding guests…..it’s not worth the risk of harm to a child nor the money. Stay somewhere else!!

This hotel is awful do not go here. It is not 5*. Our room was tiny considering how much we had paid. We had a shower in our bedroom, the shower smelt of sewage. No balcony. Our window wouldn’t open properly. The room was tiny. No tea or coffee machine. We had to pay to get drinks delivered to the pool, pay to phone reception, pay for towels everyday. Everything shuts off at midnight, all lights, doors locked. Breakfast is a shambles, there is no menu and you have to try and grab a waiter to order something. You can’t order food to the pool in the day. The most shocking part of this hotel and the experience was a staff member inappropriately touched a young child and did not want to do anything about it. They advised they would just remove the person for the week. Do not go to this hotel at all not just because it is not a 5* hotel but because it is a danger to anyone with kids.

Disappointing. The hotel did not meet our 5* expectations. Very overpriced.There was no poolside facilities for getting a drink or food. You had to go to the 1st floor restaurant/bar to order drinks which they then charged €3 to deliver poolside. No food was available at lunchtimes, only in their restaurant. Breakfast was chaotic. No menu. You had to find a waiter to order hot drinks and hot food. Table service very poor. No concierge desk. We asked at reception for advice to get to Amalfi and was given no help so we ended up booking travel in our room on our phones. One particular waiter was very surly. Not what you would expect from a 5* rating.

We loved everything about The Mec Hotel Paestum, the staff were amazing and very helpful. We were there for a family wedding and from our first visit to discuss wedding reception to our check out was beyond our expectations. They answered all of our many questions and gave brilliant advice, suggested singers, band, wedding cars etc. They know how to do weddings and the food is amazing. The wedding day was wow thanks to the staff of the Mec, well done to you all. We loved the hotel and we'll always remember the fantastic time we had with you.
