This is one of the best boutique hotels we have stayed in globally. So glad we chose this is a base for our 5 days in CT rather than V&A etc. Reception on arrival were incredibly welcoming, they can’t do enough for you, nothing is a problem. Our room wasn’t ready so we freshened up in the spa and hit the pool which was a beautiful space. Chilled music, excellent service around the pool with gorgeous beds, comp water and ice lollies. Best of all despite being there over NY and hitting the pool at various times of the day, depending on what trips we were doing, there was never an issue to get loungers. Our room was exceptional, everything you could possibly need. Lots of treats, great turn down service etc. Despite booking months in advance all sea view rooms had gone. We had a lovely view of the 12 apostle’s however I would bag a sea view if you can as the beach is beautiful. Gym ex decent too, and it’s a lovely 5K up to Clifton beaches and back in the morning. Breakfast was delicious, we also ate dinner and Bilbao & Chinchilla and they were really good. Bilbao excellent. Would highly recommend and would return.

Expected a high standard but this was off the scale good - especially the manager and staff. Well done Marly !

I had not been to CT for a long time and always remembered i did not enjoy staying by the Waterfront so tried the Marly was very impressed all staff were really nice and food was yummy. Room were very nice and big and cleaned very well. All in all great experience and would definitely go back. Location was amazing Camps Bay is really nice and a short cab ride to the waterfront.

Worst hotel experience i’ve had in years…and i travel a lot. Defnitely not a 5 star. The moment we arrived and saw the hotel and room we asked if we could cancel the stay. They refused and were incredibly rude the entire stay. I’ve never had such rude staff in a hotel before. Everything looked cheap, the whole hotel felt very claustrophobic, everything is in plastic and the view was of fake plants and kids schoolyard for “mountain view”. We mostly picked it because the pool looked nice in the pictures but when we got to the pool and pool area it looked so bad and dirty in person we immediately left. You can also hear everything in the next room because it’s a single connecting door, i could hear the entire conversation of our neighbors. There is also no proper door between the room and toilet so you can also hear everything if one of you goes to the bathroom. On a seperate note we had issues with ubers who kept cancelling when we called them to the hotel because the hotel is on top of a car park (seperate to the hotel) and i’m guessing they didnt want to enter the car park. I dont think we were the only ones unhappy as when we checked in there was a really upset american woman who demanded a full refund of her stay and that they book her somewhere else. For the amount we paid it was ridiculous. As my boyfriend put it “this hotel has been a scam from start to finish” I went to a few other hotels in cape town after and the previous years who were much much cheaper and insanely better! AVOID AT ALL COST
