We had a super few days here at the start of a family trip to South Africa. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated and perfect for us as a trio, with a main bedroom and second with twin beds. We loved all the art around the hotel and the views of Lions Head are incredible. The pools are gorgeous for a much-needed chill after exploring the city. The staff are lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful in assisting with our travel plans. It is in a great spot for exploring Sea Point, with so many nice restaurants, and you can easily get taxis to Camps Bay, V&A etc. Delicious breakfast with buffet options as well as cooked dishes to order. Loved the afternoon tea. All in all it is the perfect base for exploring the city. Thanks to all the staff for an amazing stay.

A great stay at The Clarendon which was the first stop for our honeymoon in South Africa. The room was spacious, clean and quiet, the breakfasts were always fantastic and a perfect way to start each day before exploring the city. The pool area was perfect to enjoy some afternoon R&R before heading out again for the evening. The staff were attentive, friendly and gave good advice about the city. The location is perfect given it is set back just far enough from Sea Point seafront but close enough to be able to walk there in 5 minutes. The views of Lion's Head also deserve a comment. Each day, we looked up to Lion's Head to see paragliders jumping off providing the morning's entertainment Many thanks to Gift, Mavuto, Daud and team for a great stay.

Very Good location. Rooms were well sized and bed was comfortable. The staff were exceptional - very friendly and nothing was a problem for them. Shout out to Gift, Daud, Mavuto and Brian. They had a great afternoon tea which we would have loved to participate in, but we were always out exploring! The only tip is if you want to eat a full meal in their restaurant, you need to book in before 10am that day.

I absolutely loved my stay at the Clarendon. A particular THANK YOU to Gift and Duad for making my stay extra special. Their friendly service was outstanding and made my stay that much more special. Nothing was too much for them and I ended up having a very comfortable and cosy stay. I would definitely be returning. Great Wifi, Great Food, Great service. fantastic room. If there was anything I had to look for to improve upon it would only be the noise on Kloof Street (my room faced the road) where glazed windows I feel would be the cherry on top Otherwise, I had a magic time and would highly recommend.

Just had a lovely 3 night stay at The Clarendon Hotel in Fresnaye. Gift and the rest of the team were just superb, and made our stay all the more memorable. The room we had was great too! Hotel is perfectly located for walking into Seapoint and everything that has to offer.

The Clarendon Fresnaye is a wonderfully splendid hotel located in a very safe part of Cape Town. We‘ve just spent 3 nights there and everything was just perfect. Our room was spacious and impeccably clean with a nice view in the garden. The beds are really big with a good quality of mattresses which is very important for us. After a restful sleep we enjoyed the fabulous breakfast that offered a wide range of opportunities for every taste. The staff is very friendly and motivated to make a stay as comfortable as possible. Overall I want to mention and give a big thank you to the manager Gift who was always available and took care of our questions and needs in a very, very competent and friendly manner. He knows everything about anything, so we felt really well kept up during our stay! Thank you so much Gift for being there for us! So when you go to Cape Town the Clarendon Fresnaye is a wonderful hotel to stay that we highly recommend to go there! Hans Peter from Munich

Our family four day visit in January 2025 to the Clarendon was exceptionally good. The two spacious rooms we occupied were very comfortable, super clean and well equipped. The staff did everything to make our stay a memorable one and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were superb with beautifully presented continental choices followed by high quality cooked offerings. The two swimming pools and surrounding gardens were attractive and well manicured. The location is great with the sea front being only a 10 minute stroll away and Cape Town waterfront being a short and inexpensive Uber taxi ride away. In short all of our group would highly recommend this hotel and would have no hesitation in returning to the Clarendon when we next visit Cape Town.

What a treat. We stayed for two nights and it exceeded our expectations. The staff is so friendly and go out of their way to make sure your stay is comfortable. The food is fantastic, rooms and bathrooms are clean and tidy and honestly felt so relaxed. Another bonus, the hotel is just a few 100 metres away from shops and restaurants. Would highly recommend

Our third visit to this hotel and it remains our favourite place to stay in South Africa. There are the obvious things - excellent location, lovely pools and gardens, nice room facilities ( everywhere is spotless ) fabulous breakfasts. However the stand out feature is the staff who really go above and beyond to make every stay perfect. Such a genuinely warm welcome and impeccable service from a team who clearly love their work. Thanks to all. We will be back soon!
