Labotessa Luxury Boutique Hotel

We stayed at Labotessa Luxury Boutique Hotel in Cape Town for my nephew’s wedding, and I can honestly say it was the best hotel experience we’ve ever had. My family travels often. We’ve been to the Caribbean, Europe, Hawaii, Brazil, Africa, and Asia, and have stayed in some truly beautiful places. But nothing compares to Labotessa. The service, the location, and the atmosphere were truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like family. We came from the U.S. with high expectations, and Labotessa exceeded every single one. Every team member we met was warm, thoughtful, and incredibly attentive. They learned our names right away and made sure we had everything we needed without us even asking. Huge thanks to Martijn and Bridget for going the extra mile. The rooms were stunning. You get your own private elevator entrance, and everything inside was elegant, spacious, and comfortable. Whether we needed restaurant suggestions, help booking outings, or just a great conversation, the staff delivered every time. Their recommendations felt personal and thoughtful, and we never felt rushed or brushed off. The location is perfect. It’s right downtown near Parliament, walking distance to great restaurants, local shops, nail salons, and more. The beach was just a quick two-minute Uber ride away. And, Ubers arrived so quickly that we had to be downstairs before even calling one. Traveling to Africa was deeply meaningful to us as Africans and African Americans. Labotessa made the experience even more special. Our trip was filled with love, family, and joy, and staying here made it truly unforgettable. We’re already planning to return with more of our family. Labotessa felt like home. If you’re visiting Cape Town, do yourself a favor and stay here. You’ll be blown away.

Personal attention from the staff, the friendliness, the direct lift access to the room, the quality of the room, the pleasant bed linen, the many details in the room, the freshly prepared breakfast with Eggs Benedict with homemade Hollandaise sauce. A must-visit boutique hotel! We’ve traveled far and wide, but we’ve never encountered such a warm and personal welcome. The rooms boast stylish interior design, creating a chic and comfortable atmosphere. Breakfast is of outstanding quality, served in a charming little garden with a small fountain that gives it a secluded, hidden-gem feel. The service and food are truly exceptional. Don’t just take our word for it—experience it for yourself!

First rate hotel in excellent central location in Cape Town. Staff throughout couldn't have been more helpful, both in pre-arrival communication, as well as while we were there. As others have said, lovely large rooms, well appointed, nice touches like free minibar and nibbles: all very comfortable indeed, and something of a calm and quiet oasis to return to from a day in lively Cape Town. Plus delicious breakfasts too. Highly recommend.

Right when you walk in, the ambiance of luxury and friendliness is evident. From the warm welcome and the thoughtful personal extra’s on the room to the effort they took to make our stay for my husbands birthday an incredible sumptuous one. Everybody goes the extra mile. The bed is huge with comfortable quality linnen and the perfect combination of firm with a soft top. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated with all the comfort you need. Every dish on the menu is delicious but I would highly recommend the bitterballen accompanied with one of the fine wines or beers. In short, if you want to be pampered and wallow in luxury, go here!

The elevator gets you directly into your suite. The suite itself is gorgeous. Large, with a sitting area with a nice view on Lions Head, a high eating table and complimentary mini bar which is restocked every day during your visit. Excellent shower and large comfy bed. Breakfast is only a la carte and it’s not clear what is included in the rate. I should have preferred a continental breakfast served directly at the table or as a buffet and some hot options afterwards. It’s a bit strange they bill an extra coffee, yoghurt,… Staff is extremely welcoming and helpful in planning your day, reserving a restaurant, giving advice. We had a beautiful stay !
