Noordhoek Village Hotel

I stayed here as a solution to another hotel which I had to leave. Got a room in the courtyard. Room was pretty much ok, what I did not like is the very poor sound insulation. Breakfast was very good and freshly made. Staff was very friendly. Location is in a nice setting with a couple restaurants and shops

The hotel is nice, rooms good and breakfast good but a hot water issue was not well dealt with and left us feeling that no one would sort out the problem. No real management. We arrived on Friday to no hot water in our rooms (x2). The on duty staff were alerted to this but gave no feedback until I enquired later in the afternoon again - the feedback was that they did not have someone who worked on a Friday evening and weren’t sure what the problem was - so no hot water. The following day I enquired with new staff on duty and was told that it was a little tricky on weekends to get people out - I mentioned that we had a wedding in the afternoon. Eventually the one receptionist suggested moving us to new rooms - thank you where we could show for the wedding!

I have stayed at hundreds of hotels all over the world. Most of them rated with four or five stars. Of all those this might be the one that I would most like to return to. They rooms are spacious and clean but not especially modern. But that doesn't matter. What makes this place stand out is the atmosphere and the staff. The place has a laid back, safe and homely feeling. It feels like you are in a small oasis surrounded by the most amazing landscape. And everyone working here are SO friendly and helpfull.

Lovely location at one end of the "Village". Our room looked out onto the green and we were lucky to be there on a Friday when the whole area came alive with a market. The staff were helpful and friendly, but there was quite a bit of noise from other rooms and the restaurant downstairs. While we were there there was a persistent problem with the wifi, which was irritating, but will surely be fixed. The room was comfortable and clean - good shower and big bath. There were many families there, and it would be a good choice for youngsters.

I had planned to stay at Noordhoek Village Hotel in Cape Town on January 22, 2025, but unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, I never had the opportunity to experience it firsthand. My flight was cancelled because Cape Town Airport was shut down due to power and fuel issues. Despite this unexpected turn of events, I felt compelled to share my remarkable experience with the hotel's management, even from afar. Mr. Max Matthecka, the manager of Noordhoek Village Hotel, demonstrated unparalleled understanding and professionalism during this challenging situation. Without any hesitation, he provided me with a full refund, showcasing not just exceptional customer service, but genuine empathy and kindness. This level of support and consideration is rare in today's fast-paced world, and it left a lasting impression on me. Although I did not get the chance to stay at Noordhoek Village Hotel, the integrity and compassion displayed by Mr. Matthecka and his team have ensured my loyalty. On my next trip to Cape Town, I will undoubtedly be booking my stay there, not just to enjoy what I am sure is a fantastic hotel, but to support a business that truly understands that life happens and stands by its guests through thick and thin. Our stay at Noordhoek Village Hotel was great! The staff were incredibly accomodating, warm and friendly. They made a plan to accomodate last minute requests too. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and the service was on point. We would definitely book with them again. Thank you!
