As we liked Carboneras so much we wanted a second night as the initial hotel could not accommodate we looked at alternatives. By far the best value with ease of parking nearby and the beach a minute away we selected Be Free. The ladies that run the place are exceptional in terms of hospitality and help. ( We went to check our booking and requested an earlier check-in than the stated 1400hrs we were WhatsApp'ed at 1230hrs with room ready. ) Lovely room second floor (203) super size bed, small balcony (enough for great views & towel drying) and absolutely spotless. While this residence is advertised as a one star hostel, it is by far one of the nicest places we have stayed in Spain. With bars , restaurants and shops all within a minute to a couple of minutes walk and the beach literally a stone throw away - what more do you want?! Would definitely stay here again.

Un desastre desde el principio. Empezamos el viernes en Madrid sin posibilidad de confirmar que todo estaba bien con la reserva porque ellos tenían “problemas de cobertura” con sus teléfonos, no entiendo que un hotel se quede sin cobertura… 🤷🏻♂️. Como nadie nos contestaba decidimos cancelar y reservar en otro hotel. Así lo hicimos pero aún así nos cobraron el importe de la reserva. Al llamar al hotel para ver cómo podíamos solucionar el problema hablamos con la recepcionista que no fue capaz de entender que había pasado, y menos solucionarnos el problema hablándome sin ningún respeto y cuando se cansó de hablar conmigo me colgó el teléfono no volviéndome a coger en las posteriores llamadas… vamos un desastre tremendo, jamás me he encontrado con tanta falta de profesionalidad ni con una atención al cliente tan pésima. Increíblemente malísimo ☠️

Es un hostal que aunque no tiene ascensor merece la pena alojarse en él. La habitación de unas dimensiones que ya me gustaría haberla encontrado en un hotel de 4 estrellas y decorada con mucho gusto. El único punto negativo es el baño, necesita una actualización está muy anticuado. Personal muy atento en la recepción.

La ubicación es perfecta en el centro del pueblo a escasos metros de la playa y de un montón de bares y restaurantes. Aparcar en las calles de alrededor nos resultó fácil, al menos en esta época. Al llegar la fachada parece de un antiguo hostal cerrado, aunque la impresión mejora al entrar, la recepción y la cafetería sí están renovados. El personal amable y correcto. Aunque no fue problema para nosotros, a tener en cuenta que no tiene ascensor. La habitación pues por partes (al menos la nuestra), la zona de la cama está totalmente renovada y muy bien, cama cómoda, amplia, limpia, mobiliario nuevo, decoración bonita...Ahora el baño es antiguo y se nota. Zona del inodoro estrecha y la cortinilla de la ducha, antihigiénica y desfasada. En definitiva, buena estancia, buena relación calidad-precio, aunque si renovasen el baño la impresión de habitación mejoraría muchísimo.
