A great location close to the Castle. I went with a friend & felt completely safe walking around in an evening. We had a Castle view room, overlooking the pool. On departure Gail on reception was an amazing help as our airline had made changes.

Fabulous 4 night stay here. The ibis styles is only a 5 min walk from the medieval Cité. Tucked away in a quiet street. The breakfast was superb and constantly being restocked. The bed was super comfortable. There are so many little extras at this hotel that we kept finding. We would definitely stay here again if in Carcassonne.

Stayed here on a group trip. Best parts- close to the fortress ( 15 minute walk) and breakfast. I would not consider this a 4 star hotel. Three is all it gets. The a/c is regulated and gets very warm at night -25 degrees Celsius. The rooms were cute and small, but not very clean. The shower had mold smell and showed it in between the tiles and was impossible to use without getting the entire floor wet. No tissues or cups in the rooms. Very nice lobby with games to play and a nice bar area as well.

The hotel is situated a few minutes walk away from the La Cite and half an hour walk from the New Town so perfect location. There is a bus stop right outside that takes you to the town and the train station and the lake the other way. Hotel was very clean and well equipped. Buffet breakfast was good once we got the hang of the boiled egg machine. The swimming pool was cleaned every morning and although we only went in once because of the weather it was lovely and warm. The staff were very helpful and spoke far better English than we spoke French. Would definitely recommend staying here for a visit to Carcassone.

The room was a bit worn and the a/c hard to figure out. But that were the only downsides. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from Carcassonne La Cité with free parking. The breakfast was truly wonderful for the type of hotel. The pool was nice, spacious and had a good amount of sunchairs (nothing fancy but a decent hotel pool). The staff were always helpful and friendly. And the premises has it's own cat. Nice hotel that I recommend.

We've just got back from a lovely stay in the Ibis Styles hotel, Carcassonne. Check-in was quick, friendly, and efficient. Our room (231) was a good size, clean and modern with a great shower. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. Before heading out on the short walk up to the Citè for dinner, we had drinks on the hotel's lovely terrace. A beautiful space filled with flowers and the scent of climbing jasmine. The pool area was always clean and well kept with plenty of sun beds and umbrellas - we didn't use the pool but it was well used and enjoyed by other guests. The breakfast buffet had everything you would expect- lovely breads, cheeses, meats, cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurts - all replenished when needed. The freshly squeezed orange juice was great! The breakfast room is bright and airy but we chose to eat breakfast on the terrace. We found all of the staff to be friendly and helpful and wouldn't hesitate to use this lovely hotel again.

The hotel is a bit of a trek from the centre of Carcassonne, so a taxi is your best option. The hotel is well appointed, decent beds, sufficient breakfast. A good little bar which stays open late. Good pool with ample sunbeds. Yes, I would recommend.

We travelled around France by rail with 3 children this summer and for our children this hotel was the highlight of their trip! There were lots of little touches that the children absolutely loved such as the giant chess boards in the entrance, the water refill station and the castle themed decorations. We were extremely lucky with our bedroom as we had an outside terrace and could go straight out of our patio doors to access the swimming pool. The swimming pool was wonderful in the August heatwave. The hotel was a bit of a trek from the station by foot so would recommend a taxi or bus if travelling by rail. Otherwise it is a great location. Family rooms are brilliant as they sleep 5 people with a double bed, a set of bunk beds and an extra single bed. We absolutely loved this room. We hadn't planned to eat in the restaurant but we did as we ran out of time to go elsewhere and found the food so good that we then chose to eat there the second night too! Breakfast was good too. Staff were lovely throughout the hotel. We were very impressed with the lack of single use plastic and how environmentally friendly the hotel appeared to be. I definitely recommend this hotel if you have children. My children still talk about it a few months on which is why I thought I'd better add my review now!!
