Enjoyed our one night at Carden, got upgraded to a suite as we had to move our booking as The Vines wasn't open when we originally booked so that was lovely. Had some chocolates left in the room for my birthday which was a lovely touch. Beautiful bathroom with great toiletries. Comfy massive bed. Had a pregnancy massage which was amazing, so relaxing. Shame you don't get the spa garden included, especially if you have booked an expensive treatment- they wanted £110 per person to use it for just a morning. Pool and jacuzzi in hotel are ok so we just used those. We had dinner at The Vines which was fantastic. Great service- sometimes a little bit too much, being asked after every dish about every element of the dish was a bit over bearing. But food was fantastic. Drinks expensive but too be expected. Hotel very big and busy and does feel like it caters more for golfers but would def recommend and would like to go back to try spa garden when we're feeling rich!

Wow! This place is one of the best hotels I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. The staff are impeccable. On so many occasions nowadays, the hospitality industry is let down by poor staff with poor customer service skills. This place sets the standards for all hotels. Every member of staff was friendly and very professional. What makes this even more impressive is that many of the staff are young, 18+ years old yet more professional than most restaurant and hotel staff I have experienced over the last few years. Food is great, rooms are great and the facilities in and around the hotel are fantastic. A special mention to the team at the activity centre too. Loads for kids to do, some of which adults can get involved with for example, the Segway ride. Staff again were brilliant and friendly making my kids' experience special We will definitely be returning here again and again.

I visited the day spa recently with a friend and must say the spa is 5*. It’s really excellent. Decided to come back with my husband for one of their spa stay packages. The spa was again excellent. The hotel was pleasant but extremely corporate and it felt like regular guests were a bit of an afterthought. We were in one of the courtyard rooms. I agree with the previous review that this feels a bit ‘travelodge’. We were lucky with the weather and we were only there one night, but it would have been a pain if it was raining. There were several very large corporate events going on during our stay. They seem to get priority over the hotel. We stayed on a Wednesday and had wanted to do the Vines restaurant tasting menu but were told it was only open at the weekends. However there were people on there dining so I guess they set it aside for the lucrative corporate guests. We were also looking forward to a pre dinner drink in Goldies bar but this was also closed for a private event. The meal in the ‘brasserie’ is actually in the main breakfast room. I know hotels often use the same dining area for various meals, but this felt like eating dinner in the breakfast room rather than when having breakfast feeling as if you’re in the dining room. You have to walk past lots of tables made up with tea cups etc for the next morning, the lights were off over those tables and over the breakfast serving area as you walk through. It’s really odd. Also as so much of the hotel was taken over by corporate events, the dining area and the lobby bar were virtually empty and therefore there was no buzz or atmosphere. It felt a bit ‘canteen’. The food however was surprisingly good. It’s a shame as it could have been a lovely meal but it just felt odd eating it in quite a vast, empty room. The hotel Leisure Club was also a bit disappointing. Locals clearly use this as a gym. We had the spa booked for the following morning so were looking forward to relaxing in the hotel pool area on the afternoon of our arrival. But the hydro pool was out of order, the pool was being used for lengths and there weren’t any sun loungers to sit and relax, just some tables and chairs. We didn’t stay long. Overall, the spa is very good but I wouldn’t stay in the hotel again. The beds were comfy, staff were great and everything was very clean. But it is expensive for feeling like a bit of an inconvenient add on and the luxury isn’t there for general guests. It would be great for a corporate event though!

Just back from a wonderful weekend away at The Carden Park Hotel. Upon arrival we were met outside the hotel by the concierge who very kindly helped with our baggage, also parked the car which was an unexpected bonus. Reception staff were so welcoming and friendly. All very quick check-in and went straight away to the room. Beautiful room, very spacious, nice sitting area away from the bed itself to relax and put our feet up. Enjoyed 2 absolutely wonderful meals in The Vines restaurant. Sincere thanks to Farid and Lulian for looking after us. Food was to die for, so expertly prepared. And great wine recommendations. And a special thanks to the cocktail lounge pianist, George, for playing our special song on our wedding anniversary on the Sunday evening. Thank you George, you made the evening. Enjoyed the pool with its jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Car returned to the front of the hotel after check-out. This hotel prides itself on its staff. Every single person we met was friendly and always smiling. Really didn’t want to leave.

We had the most fabulous experience this week when we attended Carden Park Spa for the day. We purchased the afternoon tea & spa access package. The whole experience from start to finish was great and the venue is beautiful. However I am writing this to particularly thank Sue from the front desk who went above and beyond. I work in a 5 star hotel myself as a sales and events manager and her guest relations skill set is applaudable. So, Sue, if you read this - keep doing you - you’re amazing !! X

Today we’ve had the most fabulous spa experience hosted by the fabulous sue, Sue has made us feel like a home from home. She has tendered to our every taking plenty of pictures and always checking to see if we need more drinks and has advised us on the best spots to be!

Such a beautiful place, food is amazing, staff are friendly! Couldn’t recommend this place enough, been a few times now and it is always such a perfect escape. We were lucky to stay in one of the new rooms on our recent stay, the bed was so comfy and everywhere was so clean as always! If you can treat yourself to the spa also, the layout is so picturesque and the facilities are great!

Wow! Had such a wonderful stay. Beautiful Room overlooking The Golf Course and we were lucky with the weather, although cold outside the sun was shining. Amazing meal and first class service in Redmond’s Brasserie Restaurant, you have great attentive staff, we really appreciated this. Such a relaxing time in the Spa .. felt like we were abroad. Can’t wait to come back soon! Thanks Carden
