Ewings Bar & Self-Catering Accommodation

Ewings bed and breakfast accommodation.ar and staff lovely. Nice and friendly. But when you go upstairs it heartbreaking. Don't stay no breakfast and a dump. State of kettle if wasn't checked before use.

I was there for two weeks and we had great time,accommodation was good clean friendly staff ,close to everything in Carlow,decent prices,Guinness is were good,the locals are nice and friendly people we meet few in the pub

Room was filthy, and dusty everywhere, urine and bowel stains on toilet. Toilet door slides and big gaps which can view the toilet and shower through 🤦‍♀️. Lock of black hair on toilet floor, dead spiders and insects in bedroom floor. No hot water in taps. No TV, or tea/ coffee facilities as visible in pics prior to booking. Emailed them with this soon after checking in, no response claim they never got it. I made contact via email with pics of showing the state of room we were given. Nothing like the Websites for rooms. Very slow response, eventually I posted review p publicly outlining our stay , then Ken emailed be back finally and offered a complimentary 2night stay. I have since tried to book this with Ken via email and has decided to take it back as he has since my review and is not happy 😕

Very disappointed, first at all when we got in the hotel the receptionist guy who works at the bar as well was a bit rude, the room was dirty, full of dust and I found a women's hair on my bathroom floor, and I was on my own. On the website it's saying that they have parking and it's free of charge, but when I got there I got told that they don't have any parking, I had to park on the street and pay for it. The only good thing about this place is the location.
