The Trinity Hotel

We were looking for someplace special to spend our last night at the end of a recent trip exploring New Mexico. We found it at the Trinity Hotel. Mr. Bolzano himself was there to greet us warmly when we checked in, and even came over to our table the next morning as we were eating breakfast to wish us well. Our rooms were spacious, unique, and spotless. The complimentary wine tasting with a delicious goat cheese appetizer was just what we needed after exploring the nearby Caverns. Dinner was excellent, with service to match. It was obvious that this was a special spot for locals, as well, as the dining room was full for both dinner and breakfast the next morning. While the guestrooms are not accessible, the climb up the two stories of metal stairs on the back of the hotel was well worth what we found at the top.

We had an amazing time at this hotel the night before our visit to Carlsbad Caverns National Park. This is a small hotel, so book early! Our room was huge and had a bathtub big enough to swim in! The rooms was spacious, clean and very well done. My family of three really enjoyed our stay and would defiantly go back! The hotel restaurant is Italian and delicious. Eat here when you stay here! They did a wine tasting for us before our dinner. This hotel is well done, very fun, clean and comfortable. Thanks for an awesome evening, dinner and experience!

Very nice, convenient hotel, nicely remodeled historic building, good restaurant, very reasonably priced. Good place to stay before a visit to Carlsbad Caverns. Friendly, helpful staff. It is a remodeled bank building. First floor room access is from sidewalk.

We stayed here one night after visiting Carlsbad Caverns NP. The town of Carlsbad has MANY hotels geared towards longer term guests(working in the area). This hotel is situated downtown, though there really isn't much of a downtown with anything to do. Check in was easy. Parking is in a small lot behind the hotel. 2 rooms are on the first floor but have Outside entrances. You cannot access the inside of the hotel from those two rooms without going through the front door of the hotel. The rest of the rooms are upstairs. 2 staircases. The one out back is metal and the railing was super hot when we went up. The other staircase is inside but is Very steep and dark. Take your pick :) Our room was dark and the bed really outsized the room. Bathroom on the smaller side. No glasses except wine glasses for us to use. We slept well but there was street noise(cars) until after midnight or so. There is one restaurant and bar the hotel has that we really enjoyed. That is why I am giving it a 4 star rating. Without that, it would have been a 3 rating. I will review the restaurant later. The hotel offers overnight guests a small wine tasting and complimentary beverages and pastries in the morning. The bartender advised us of such...no one else told us about it. All in all, it was fine but nothing exceptional.

We stayed here as a home base when visiting Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe Mountains National Parks. The charming building was renovated beautifully in 2007. Our room was lovely with the high ceilings and very comfortable bed. The staff was very friendly and accommodating (we had trouble getting our tv to work), and the complimentary coffee and pastry were much appreciated (so many choices!). I highly recommend the Trinity Hotel for your stay in Carlsbad.

We stayed here for two nights as a family while we were visiting Carlsbad Caverns. The restaurant itself was excellent with incredibly friendly staff and really delish food, wine, and beer (we had two dinners and two breakfasts). The room itself was quite lovely with many historic details. Our only complaint is that the pull out sofa for our children was positioned in a way that it was very difficult to enter and exit the room when opened and the mattress and foam padding had seen much better days. Our young kids had no complaints but I doubt that would be the case for anyone older than 12. Overall I would highly recommend this unique stay and restaurant if you are heading to Carlsbad.
