Four Seasons Residence Club San Diego, Aviara (Residence Rental)

You know when you love a place so much that you almost want to keep it a secret? This is one of those!! Location, suites, cleanliness, amenities, attention to detail, and above all, a team that’s laser-focused on making the guest experience stellar. Jessica and Caitlyn consistently checked on us, and had our room decorated with balloons and a banner and fresh flowers to celebrate an occasion my husband had shared with them. Noah and Henry took SUCH good care of us each day, stocking our car with beach chairs, towels, an umbrella and beach toys and games for the kids - while sharing their fave beaches and food spots! Truly amazing attitudes. Housekeeping and room service as well as the pool team all went above and beyond as well. We were greeted with kid size bathrobes, little stuffed sea lions and the toiletries are dyptique! We were in an upper suite with a washer dryer full kitchen and an adjoining bedroom in the 14 block and it couldn’t have been more perfect. We could walk to the Park Hyatt for a drink or dinner as well but we were so happy we chose the 4 seasons as it was so calm and serene. We can’t wait to go back. We did 6 nights and it was perfect - we could do Legoland, different beaches, hikes, the pools and good casual meals while feeling relaxed! Will absolutely be back and highly highly recommend!!

The Aviara is a special place. A great hotel for events, for family get togethers and easy stays. There are a lot of kids. ALOT. It is not quiet - but the families give the hotel a great positive energy. The staff was great, the services were great - and we would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

Amazing stay in Carlsbad!! One of the best Four Season’s we have ever stayed at. This was our first time doing luxury travel with our two kids and let me just say that this FS set the bar extremely high. They made sure our kiddos and us had a great stay throughout our visit. Jessica and Kaitlyn from the guest experience team went above and beyond. Henry from the bell team was fantastic helping us get settled when we checked in. And everyone at the restaurants and pools were very attentive and personable. The only gotcha with this resort is it is a residence property, so it’s a bit spread out and a different vacation experience being in what feels like someone’s unit. With the kids it was great having a kitchen and more room to run around, so we didn’t mind one bit. Just might not be what you expect if you’re used to other FS properties.

This is a residency club, not a hotel- and it was the way it should be. Rented a 2 bedroom villa (1 bedroom suite connected to another room). (1) Inside- Had a kitchen with everything you needed, livingroom was cozy and nice, bathrooms were very clean, rooms were clean. (2) Pool- Very clean and tranquil. The staff members approach you and get you seated, cover the pool chairs for you, and bring you ice water. Great service. (3) Seasons restaurant- Great service, great food (4) Housekeeping- wonderful (5) Parking- free. Unlike Park Hyatt next door ($65 valet per car per night), Four Seasons is free (6) Kids- there's kids' club with activities, smores making, movies, etc. (7) Check-in/out- felt so welcomed by staff at the front. Free water and also lemonade for my daughter, and she was handed a goodie bag as a welcome gift- contained a cute dolphin doll, along with other little cute stuff. (8) Special occassions- celebrated a birthday, and when we walked in, there was a slice of cake, macarons, and a big vase of flowers! The only downside I can think of is that there is no elevator. We had 88 year old mom in our group and had to request to switch us to a room on the ground level. Great place to stay for a short term or long term!

Jessica and her team made our 26th anniversary truly memorable. The hotel provided the perfect blend of rest and relaxation, allowing us to explore the beautiful beach town of Carlsbad before returning to a spacious room. We deeply appreciate the Four Seasons team for maintaining an immaculate hotel and for their exceptionally friendly staff.

We just returned from a week at Four Seasons Aviara. It was one of the nicest, most relaxing places we’ve ever stayed. We’ve stayed all around the area from San Diego to La Jolla to Del Mar and this is far and away the best. The apartment was pristine, spacious and beautiful. The service was impeccable from housekeeping to pool attendants to the front desk and valet who supply the beach gear. Everything was done right and everything seems to, amazingly, work right, here. The management is doing a great job. Our food which we ordered poolside was fantastic, fresh and tasty , too. We loved borrowing chairs, umbrella and beach towels from the main building and we enjoyed all the beaches we visited especially La Jolla Shores and Moonlight Beach. This property is a winner and you will enjoy a quiet relaxing stay if you come here. Lastly I don’t think there are any bad units. We had a second floor unit and liked the three balconies we had with a view of the ocean way in the distance. But a first floor unit would likely be very nice too. The view seems much the same from most plus or minus a pool view here and there.

We had an amazing experience as a family. We have a 5 month old and decided to travel near our home to celebrate our anniversary. Upon arrival we were greeted with waters and fresh strawberry lemonade. We were asked a series of questions to better accommodate our stay and to offer us any additional help. Restaurant reservations were also made while we checked in. We were escorted to our room, picked up and driven to and from the restaurant. All drivers were extremely helpful and patient when it came to waiting on us. Trying to be on time with a 5 month old is difficult to say the least. Our room was decorated with signs and balloons! We were given a bottle of Prosecco, macarons, chocolates and BEAUTIFUL ROSES. That was amazing. They have the best pool layout. We played with our baby in a kiddy pool that was separated from the main pool. Best stay we’ve ever had just based on customer service. I didn’t have to ask for anything, soon as we were seen someone would offer us help. There was security, but they were very discrete. Some security make you feel uncomfortable, but they felt like part of the staff. Just there to help. Staff was all well mannered. Loved this place. Highly recommend. Felt appreciated. Which is how you want to feel when you spend money to stay somewhere.

We have always loved 4seasons but this property really provided that human experience that one never truly gets anymore in 2024. We want to give a big shout out to Ms. Jessica Cowan for going above and beyond! We went during Easter weekend 2024 and was unfortunately hit by rain. Jessica and her team did an amazing job by giving our family a decorated hotel suite egg hunt. This was an amazing touch and incredibly delicate and detailed. We are so appreciative of the kids activities that she and her team put together. House keeping did a phenomenal job of providing us service and cleanliness. Front office staff member Sean was incredibly timely and professional. There was a staff in the kids club that did a phenomenal job with our small 2.5 boy and helped kids craft, painting and so much more. So many names, but it’s a shame we can’t give all shoutouts. The restaurant staff was amazing. They catered to our every needs quickly and calmly. Hotel valet staff was always nice and personable. Truly amazing! Thank you four seasons, you made our weekend a blast with a little one. Excellent food, great shuttle service, the restaurant from hostess to wait staff was amazing. Everyone always cleaning the gyms at both locations, just absolutely clean everywhere. Thank you, thank you all for busting your butts during Easter weekend and making it memorable. We will be back.

Can’t wait to return to this property. Quiet and ideal setting in the hills above the Aviara golf course. Other great courses nearby. Thoughtful staff and perfect setting. Restaurant was delicious. Rooms are perfect.
