After 20 years of staying at Carmel Country Inn, we hope to stay many more. It’s important to note that the same wonderful woman , Amy, is still the innkeeper. How many inns, hotels, b &b’s can say that? And then there’s Jackie who takes the reservations and helps us with anything we need. Where to begin? First of all, the location is quiet and beautiful. From the moment we check in, the caring experience begins. Maps and an offer to help us place bags in the room are always part of the scene. Everything is spotless. Let’s talk about breakfast and day long snacks and treats. You’ll be pleased by the variety of foods offered, and, after a day of roaming around Carmel, you can head to the office for some fruit, cookies, or treats. We bring our dog every time we go, and he loves the Inn. And then there are the people we’ve met over the years. Many are long time clients like we are. Won’t stay anywhere else. Nice people. The room is cozy with a fireplace a small refrigerator and a coffee bar. Great bed. It really is like home

Location is very good. Dangerous sidewalks to town but just walk in street. Rooms are old and tired. Paint peeling in bathroom and floors are desperately in need of replacement. Bed was nice. Comfortable! Furniture was cheap and uncomfortable. This was our second stay, but also our last until the fix it up.

This was my first stay at the Inn and it was absolutely lovely! Jacqueline and her staff were warm and inviting from the get-go. We had a two bed, two bath room so my mom and I could have space, yet the living room with the fireplace was a nice spot to have tea and cookies while chatting about our day. The breakfast was super yummy and Jacqueline was a welcoming face in the morning while preparing the delicious quiche for us. The takeaway snacks were great as we spent the day walking around town so we could have a bite and keep moving! There were beach towels and puppy snacks as well. Easy walking to town and far enough away not to hear the cars and all the people walking by. Will definitely return!

Went on a girls trip & from the moment we got there, Amy & the staff took care of our every need. The accommodations were comfortable, roomy & charming. I enjoyed having a refrigerator & microwave in our room. The location was perfect to be able to walk around town. The breakfast was delicious & with plenty of options. They even provided snacks throughout the day, which came in handy when we hiked. I loved everything about this place & I look forward to coming back….i definitely will! Go visit….you won’t be sorry!

I stay at the Carmel Country Inn because it gives me the feeling of being in my own apartment. I stayed with girlfriends in October and we each had our own bedroom and bathroom. We also had our own living room with a fireplace. The breakfast is indeed a full breakfast with choices of quiche, oatmeal, fresh fruit and local delish pastries. Eat in the charming main breakfast room or take your tray back to your room.

My husband wanted to visit Carmel by sea. We were both very unhappy with Carmel Country Inn. We were located in bottom floor extremely loud and the footsteps were loud. After two days they moved us. Nothing different the place is old.The breakfast was boring Same food everyday. Next time we will be at better place like Stillwel hotel

Wonderful two night stay. Part of our SF to LA road trip and decided to stay here on the way through and so glad we did. Excellent location, 10 min stroll into town or to the beach. Lovely and quiet with excellent parking. Very comfortable bedroom and lovely bathroom. Superb breakfast and added bonus of home made cake and biscuits (cookies) available throughout the day. We would definitely recommend this venue.

We loved this inn so much! The room was incredible, with a fireplace and double soaking tub. We were able to walk everywhere--coffee shops, restaurants, and even the beach. We went for our anniversary and will definitely be coming back next year.

First….. the staff couldn’t be nicer or more accommodating from the second you walk in the office door. The Hotel is very convenient to downtown, just a very short walk (three blocks), but far enough that it is super quiet at night. The breakfast was great, and they never run out. The afternoon treats were perfect. Did I mention how wonderful the people are that work there? They made the trip perfect for all six nights we were there. I can’t wait to go back next
