Pet Friendly Guest Studio in Carmel Valley California

disappointing The carpet was stained and smelly. The outdoors area was uninviting -- cluttered yard and dead grass. Most electrical outlets in the unit did not work- had trouble charging devices. The secondary bed had no support. the front door locked, but the door from the main room to back yard area could not be secured. Host Adam was not around. The woman living in main house on the property was pleasant but very elderly and used a walker - she didn't seem equipped to tend to the property. The snacks in the snack basket were mostly expired. This is a funky property that could be charming, but the furnishings are all decades old and the unit need maintenance (paint job and carpet at minimum). First photo below is of the skylight which is encrusted with crud.

Remote. Not Relaxing. Property as a whole is worn and beat, and the dreary guest house is suitable for sleeping, but not a clean, comfortable space to spend time in. Carpet is stained. Couch is unusable and belongs at a landfill (springs and cushions are shot and you almost sink to the floor). King bed sags in the middle. Bathroom shower and toilet are oddly undersized, and surrounded by numerous cracks and gaps, which goes to the general state of disrepair. I also didn't catch in the listing that there's no kitchen (just a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker), so instead of being able to make breakfast for the week as I'd hoped, I had to go out, which means driving some distance. Ended up spending as little time there as possible. All in all, a motel room on the peninsula would have been a better choice for the same price based on cleanliness, comfort, and proximity.

Comfy rustic nook Nice amenities, space for 2. Relatively quiet get away & slow pace. Beautiful surroundings & great dining. Host was a pleasure to communicate with. We enjoyed great weather during our stay. Affordable & relaxing especially if not on a schedule.

Went to Carmel cor the weekend on a whim abd we fot to stay here and ait was a nice little stay too. Will be back here for sure

Carmel Very nice. I suggest leaving more information, such as the wifi password and how to operate the heater, for guests to read at check-in.

Quiet cozy studio My wife and I spent 3 nights here, and it was perfect for us. It is a very quiet and cozy studio with good access to the Monterey peninsula, as well as the charming Carmel Valley. We ate breakfast in, so we appreciated the mini-fridge, coffee maker, hot plate and microwave. The basket of treats was nice touch, too. We had a good experience here.
